Our home is nestled on 2 acres of southern Adirondack woods with 150 feet of lake frontage on Hadlock lake in the town of Fort Ann. It is a custom built home completely furnished with hardwood floors and tile throughout. The fully equipped maple kitchen seats five at the beautiful granite island. The dining room has great views of the lake with a table that expands as needed. The great room has a wood burning stove with a paddlefan. Overhead there is a loft area for playing board games or 'camping out' with great views of the lake. The master bedroom comes complete with its own rainfall shower and bidet. The second bedroom upstairs has a bunk bed with twin on top and queen on the bottom and it is steps away from a bathroom with tile floor. Downstairs is another great space with wonderful views of the water. The first bedroom comes with a king size bed and fantastic lake views. The second bedroom has a queen and a twin size bed. The living room area downstairs has a large flat screen TV and foosball table. The bathroom downstairs houses the washer & dryer with the dry sauna. There is an outside fire pit and a large dock for fishing and swimming. We supply two kayaks, one canoe for your enjoyment. The house also has central air conditioning for those hot summer days. In winter, there is a wood burning stove upstairs and gas stove downstairs making a warm inviting place to relax. No matter the season, it is a great home to come and enjoy the Adirondacks and reconnect with your family and friends.
I summered on the lake as a child in my grandmother's camp. I enjoyed the lake with my siblings and cousins. We made many wonderful memories. As an adult, my husband and I wanted to create the same for our children. We bought the property in 2005 and began building in 2007. Construction was completed in July 2008. Now we make memories with our family while sharing with our guests as well. Please come and make beautiful, lasting memories with your family. The lake is peaceful. The house is beautiful. Together, the location comforts, relaxes and soothes the soul. - Sharyn
Sharyn purchased this house in 2005
Lake Hadlock is a small man-made body of water formed on a tributary of Halfway Creek in Washington County, New York. Constructed in 1896, the pond is presently owned by the town of Fort Ann and is primarily used for recreational purposes
It is 453 Feet above sea level, has a shore line of 4.60 miles, has a maximum depth of 43 feet and has a lake volume of 3411 acre-feet. It has a 5603 acre watershed. Lake Hadlock turns over once every 174 days.
Our property sits on a private dirt road. There are acres of woods behind the house with the lake in front. This creates a very natural, woodsy feel. The seclusion feels relaxing but in reality the house is close to Lake George Village, Saratoga Springs, golfing, amusement parks, hiking, etc. You will find all the comforts of home. It is a lovely place to stay all year round not just summer. So vacation with kids, as a couple or come as a group of friends looking to build stronger friendships.
"A Very Special Place!"

My review is long overdue. This gorgeous home and incredible property, was perfect for our group of 10 college friends (in our 50's). We rent a home almost every October, and found this to be one of our absolute favorites, in many ways! We enjoyed the beauty of the lake, the comfort & cleanliness of the Adirondack style home, along with all of the fabulous amenities. We loved it so much, that we stayed on the property almost the entire time we were there...it has it all! The kitchen, bedrooms and living space are top notch! We enjoyed many a great meal, prepared by our crew of cooks, in the lovely and very well equipped kitchen and spacious dining room. ~ Shayrn is wonderful to work with; she could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Sharyn provided many special touches and answered any questions that we had. If you are looking to rent "a very special place" in the Adirondacks, look no further!
Our family had a wonderful time: Six adults, a 6 year old, a 3 year old and a 6 month old baby. The house is lovely, immaculate and spacious as well as air-conditioned which helped during the hot weather. Beautiful screened in porch with a view of the lake. Plenty of room for people to stretch out. As the weather was beautiful, mostly we didn't ever leave except for groceries. Two bike riders found lovely mountain trails nearby. The lake is clean and the little boys enjoyed fishing. There are easy steps from the dock down to the the water which is shallow enough at first for the 3 year old non swimmer to play comfortably. There are also beautiful old pine trees near the water which provided shade when it got hot and for the baby. It is a long steep climb down to the water which we didn't mind, but some might. Also, one of the bedrooms doesn't have windows which some might mind. The owners were friendly and left out material for S'mores when we arrived. We hope to go back next year. We were there during the races in Saratoga and discussed going, but we were all having such a relaxed time, the hassle didn't seem worth it.
We have stayed in rental properties in different states over decades and this home was the best stocked and most comfortable of them all. Plus the dock space was fantastic and roomy for fishing, swimming, and kayaking. The screened in porch and firepit were amazing, and the kids put the loft on the top of their favorites list! Thank you to the owners for going above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and at home!
What can i say about this house.... it was amazing, it had everything and anything we needed. We walked into Smore stuff sitting on the counter for us!!!! That made me the happiest, who doesn't love those around the fire. She also has little shampoos and body soaps for us in all bath rooms! The views are amazing, the house is comfy and well spaced out, open so everyone can enjoy each other and plenty of different little seating areas all around the property. Would deff go back!!!
home had everything we needed and then some. The lake is perfect and having access to the canoe and kayak's was great. Highly recommend.
This is our third time renting this spacious and beautifully well maintained home! It has everything you need and is conveniently located as well. The pictures do not do the place justice... it is immaculately kept and the view of the lake and surrounding area is absolutely stunning! The owners were always very pleasant and welcomed us back - we will definitely be returning!
Beautiful...well maintained...clean...spacious! It had everything we needed for our weekend! There is plenty of space for 10 people! The view was spectacular. The changing fall leaves were the perfect backdrop for our intimate wedding. The owner was great about answering emails. She was very helpful and flexible!
