Great place for our daughter's wedding

  • 5 of 5

As mentioned in other reviews, this is a great place large family events. Plenty of room to stretch out and have some privacy but great spaces to gather. We hosted a brunch for 17 with no problem. There's a wonderful spacious kitchen and the porches offered even more areas to gather or read a book. Thanks Barbara for a wonderful place!

Arrival and departure went smoothly. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We even parked in the Garage. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful weekend get away for our bookclub.

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 16 older women, who stayed for a weekend get away. All were very well pleased with the house. While the weather turned cold that weekend, we were toasty warm in front of the fireplace and/or soaking in the hot tub.

The home was stocked with plenty of linens and had a kitchen stocked full of dishes, pots, pans and cutlery.

Even the water heater kept up with 16 women getting ready Sat and Sun morning! That was shocking and much appreciated.

Thank you for providing us a great place to get away!

Weekend getaway to Asheville for Easter

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in Barbara's house for our first time visiting Asheville. Perfect for a families with kids and pets. We had 10 people and a pet. There was room for 2 more if needed. There is a large master BR on the main floor which was perfect for our elderly parents. The kitchen was spacious for meals. The area is quiet for walks with kids/pets.

If you are looking for a peaceful, family time in the country with a large house/fenced in backyard -then this is the spot (but at the same time not isolated--neighborhood homes and farms all around)

Asheville /Biltmore was about 20-25 mins easy drive. But groceries can be picked up at the Food Lion about 2 miles from the house.

Great house for large groups of friends or family. Asheville not too far away.

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 13. There was enough space (beds, rooms, bathrooms, sitting areas) to accommodate us all. The house was very clean and user friendly. We loved the kitchen which had plenty of room for us to cook. The house has a beautiful fireplace as well, which we enjoyed using. There is a back deck and a wrap around front porch, which allowed us to enjoy the outside weather. We will definitely be considering this house for future vacations. The best part about this house is the price! It is available for a very reasonable price and is more than worth it! It is also about 15 mins away from Downtown Asheville. Not a bad drive at all!
