Why Bill LeConte chose Bethany Beach
We chose Middlesex Beach because of the guarded private beach, large lots with trees and shade, and the unique home construction.
What makes this House unique
We like the quiet shady street and short walk to the beach.

Another great stay!
This is our 3rd or 4th stay at the Beach House and we have enjoyed our stay every time. The house is set up to accommodate both our families with privacy. The short walk to the beach is great. We love the area. So close to everything, restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The owner has always been easy to work with. We will be back for sure.
Middlesex Beach is perfect.
This lovely cottage was almost perfect for our stay in Middlesex. Our group consisted of 5 children ages 7 to 14, their parents, and myself (grandmother). The house is divided into two sections, which I loved because I had my own bedroom/bath, separated from the chaos of the kids. But, with 4 girls/one boy, he had the advantage of his own room. The girls shared an upstairs area, accessible by ladderlike steps (which they liked) but that's a lot of togetherness for 4 siblings. The porch is a highlight as well, strategically placed in the center of the house.
The beach is a six minute walk away, and beautiful (lifeguards), with very few people on it, even with the 4th of July weekend beginning. The house is well stocked, and organized and Bill is quick to respond to any questions. I would love to stay there again, maybe with my adult friends this time. Peaceful neighborhood, and quick walk to the beach. Perfect.
Perfect family beach vacation house
We had never been to the Delmarva coast before, so we weren't sure what to expect in the way of accommodations, neighborhood, or beach quality. Fortunately, 21 Bridge Road gave us a great experience in all three! The house has central air and double paned windows, which was essential - there was an excessive heat advisory in place during our entire stay. Renting this house entitles you to use the private, lifeguarded Middlesex Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in the continental U.S. Since only residents (or renters) in the Middlesex Beach neighborhood are allowed to use it, the beach is never crowded - even on an August weekend. The house is an easy, three block walk to the beach, and is outfitted with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, sand toys and a boogie board. If you're looking for a pub crawl or a jumping beach party scene, Middlesex Beach is probably not your best choice - it's laid-back, family-friendly, and it was pretty quiet the week we were there, so it suited our vacation style perfectly. The house is great for two or more families travelling together, as three of the four bedrooms are separated from the rest of the house by the patio (only the loft bedroom is connected with the living room and kitchen area). The owner is polite, responsive, and ready to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We are already planning our return next summer!
Fun, funky house!
This is a great house with a lot of personality. Close to the beach, but in a secluded setting. There is plenty of space in the living area and porch for relaxing. No need to bring beach chairs or sand toys because there are plenty there. We also love that the Dollar General is right there. It was amazing how many times we needed to go there for random things! Couple things you should know though: The loft is more for kids, and definitely not toddlers. There is a ladder to get up there that is pretty steep. The one bedroom is also a loft open to the living area, so plan sleeping arrangements accordingly. Others can't see up there, but you hear anyone in the living space. Not a big deal for our family, as we are all pretty much on same schedule at the beach.
Great family vacation!!
My family and my sister in law's family rented this house together. We had six kids ranging in age from 12-2 (1 was in a pack in play) and 5 adults. It was perfect!! The lay out of the house was really cool-we especially liked the loft and so did our kids when they wanted to escape from the adults. 2 full bathrooms with an outdoor shower, laundry, AC, screened in porch-we were set! I especially liked the option of accessing the private beach-it was clean, people were friendly, and best of all it wasn't super crowded. Grocery store, coffee, restaurants all within a reasonable drive from the property. We had a great week and will definitely be back!
Charming house in Middlesex Beach
Quiet, clean house conveniently located to Middlesex Beach with all your beach needs provided - beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and sand toys! You just bring the fun! Fully stocked kitchen with great coffee pot - incredibly important for my family. Loft bedrooms great for early risers and night owls. Fantastic screened in porch with swings and hammock chairs.
Keyless lock made it super easy for everyone to come and go as needed.
