Recently renovated condo in the Portofino development off Chandler Blvd. This quiet ground floor location has a private patio. The three large bedrooms are equipped with queen-sized beds. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and 3 piece en-suite. The living room has been updated with a new leather rocker recliner and leather couch with dual recliner. A portable infant crib is available on request. The fully equipped kitchen has granite counter-tops and new appliances. There is a full size washer and dryer in the suite. A high definition TV, with surround sound speakers, in living room has cable and a blu-ray disc player. The unit has a covered parking stall.
This unit is an excellent winter escape to a sunny oasis. The development has two pools, hot tubs, an exercise room and a cinema room. It is located in a lakeside community close to South Mountain Park, a desert nature preserve with many hiking and biking trails. An abundance of golf courses are located nearby, the closest of which is Foothills Golf Club. or Whirlwind Golf course. It is an easy walk to the shopping area adjacent to the development where there is a Fry’s grocery store with Starbucks. Safeway, Trader Joe's and other convenience stores 3 blocks away.
There are numerous restaurants and services along Chandler Blvd including an urgent care center. Nearby shopping includes Kohl's, Target, J C Penny and Ikea. Sporting goods stores include Golfsmith and Dicks. Within a 8 mile radius are Arizona Mills (the discount mall) the Chandler Fashion Center plus the new Phoenix Premium Outlets mall near the Wild Horse casino. Chandler Blvd also connects to I-10 for easy access to the excellent freeway system in Phoenix.
Professional sports teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB play in the Phoenix area. Phoenix International Raceway is one of the premier NASCAR tracks in America. There is also spring training baseball and University of Arizona college sports teams. It is an excellent base for desert exploration. Sedona is a 3 hour drive north and the Grand Canyon is 4 ½ hours to the south rim. Don't forget Tuscon about 2 hours south.

We are a young (at heart) couple who enjoy golfing, hiking, skiing and other outdoor pursuits.
We purchased this property to secure a place in the sun to break up our western Canadian winters. We were looking for a location that had direct flights from our home. Phoenix afforded us all that and more. We can engage in sporting or entertainment events, fine dining, fabulous shopping or we can stay home and relax by the pool or walk around the lake.
This unit is in a beautifully landscaped complex. It is close to many golf courses. The extra bedrooms allow us to have visits from family and friends. The grocery store is only a 2 minute walk. We can get away from it all here without sacrificing any of the comforts of home.
This was a great place to stay during a transition to moving to the Phoenix area. The condo was spacious, clean, in a nice safe neighborhood, and well stocked for an extended stay. Owners Bruce and Margo were very great to work with and promptly addressed any questions or concerns.
I would very highly recommend staying at this condo.
