The Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful property has to be seen to be believed. With 2 separate wings for the bedrooms and baths, and multiple doors to the yard, you can accommodate a large group and still have plenty of privacy. Kids would love the sleeping loft. Beautiful landscaping, views, and a yard with everything from a pool and waterfall to outdoor dining and firepit, really does make you feel like you're at a resort. Pretty neighboring streets to walk around and its a short walk to the Barking Dog for great coffee! Sonoma Plaza, Glen Ellen and numerous vineyards are right nearby. The owners spend a lot of time maintaining the property and have remodeled some areas. They are very accommodating and genuinely want their guests to enjoy their stay. I was lucky enough to spend 5 days here with two of my dearest friends. It was the most relaxing, amazing vacation I've ever had.

Wonderful Sonoma Stay

  • 5 of 5

Great Sonoma Stay!!

We were out in Sonoma Napa area for a family wedding and rented this house from Susan. At first, I was a little nervous to pay by check and not by credit card (always worry free with my credit card if things do not go well). But the whole process went well, Susan was very responsive. Checking in was easy and leaving was also easy. I don't recall Susan asking us to do anything to the place other than to leave it in good condition. Now, as to the place, the living room is quite large, open to the kitchen and pool area. The whole house is very open and well lighted with natural sun light. It was nice to have 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms with a loft to accommodate our large group, but yet no one is in the way of the other. Linens and towels are plentiful. The kitchen is a bit dated, but it truly has everything we need to have some of our meals at home. I did not do any cooking, but my niece who does kept commenting over and over on how well stocked the kitchen was. The house was in driving distance to every thing we did there - attending a wedding at the Meritage Resort, seeing the Charles Schulz Museum, and visiting some vineyards nearby like the Sterling. We stayed at many vacation rentals, and this one must rank up there in term of cleanliness and comfort for all. Thanks Susan for a wonderful stay in Sonoma!!

Girls trip

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay here recently for a girls trip. House is great, clean, up to date, and great location for sonoma. Owner was responsive, professional, and easy to get ahold of. We had a small incident and was handled professionally and quickly. Only negatives we had, that are minor, the pool is NOT heated, by solar they mean sun heated and some showers were cold. Other then that it was perfect and I'd rent it again in a heart beat. Enjoy this home.

Zen and Cozy!

  • 5 of 5

Cozy and sophisticated; adjacent to tree-lined and tranquil streets. Wonderful large bedrooms – tons of privacy that are separated on multiple levels from the living and kitchen areas make for a get-away within a get-away. The pool and gardens are delightful. The back of the home with the pool, wonderful terraces and patio faces due West – making for enjoyable year-round, zen-like, crepuscular events. The home is just minutes from town – and even closer to fine wineries. Divine!

Sonoma Gem

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house. The house was cozy for my husband and myself. It's extremely well and tastefully appointed and very comfortable. We had fires in the wood stove at night as the weather was wet and cold during our stay. We were more than happy in the master bed and bath. (With a great bathtub and shower!) But I could easily imagine how well the house would work with eight people, all adults or a mix of adults and kids. The pool area and backyard would be fabulous in warm weather.

There's a really good kitchen and one of the house rules is that you can eat anything in the cupboards as long as your replace it. I loved this! And we didn't have to travel farther than Glen Ellen or Sonoma for restaurants and hiking. Plus El Molino Central--our favorite for Mexican food--was not more than five minutes away. Looking forward to returning sometime!

Spacious wine Country Home

  • 5 of 5

This house worked perfectly for our family of five and there was definitely room for more. The location was great for visiting the vineyards. You could be gone for entire day or drive very short distances for excellent tastings. The town of Sonoma is close with wonderful restaurants. However, the house is so comfortable and has everything you need, so we prepared dinners at the house. We didn't use the pool but it looks wonderful. This well-maintained, dog friendly house was a good find!
