Beach Paradise with Secluded Bungalow for Fishing or Nature Lovers

Bedrooms 2
Property type bungalow
Minimum Stay 3 - 5 nights

About the property

Bungalow, 2 Beds + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 1-5)

The Lagunas de Palmas bungalow is located a few miles north of the small town of La Ribera, in an area called the East Cape. Surrounded by palm trees, the Lagunas de Palmas bungalow offers an incredible chance to be completely immersed into a true natural oasis.

Although the accommodations are comfortable, clean and artfully crafted in a spectacular setting. It's also rustic, remote, and requires climbing a ladder to your sleeping loft with queensize bed. There is one dog, and three cats that also live at the Lagunas de Palmas property. They are nice animals that interact well with kids. The Laguna de Palmas property is more of an adventure and experience, rather than just renting a home in a vacation destination." Our rental bungalow is a very special place, however, it may not be for everyone... We hope it sounds just right for You!

Many people have described our rental bungalow, and this beautiful setting as the “real Baja.” The palapa roofs and handcrafted furniture, the great food and positive interaction with the Mexican people, the peace and tranquility filled with the sights and sounds of a simpler time. This is what we offer travelers looking for something a little more off the beaten path than usual.

From the bungalow take a short walk that leads to the secluded beaches of the Sea of Cortez, and admire the freshwater estuary teaming with life. The estuary is a diverse ever-changing ecosystem full of animal life, and a bird watchers dream.

Fisherman know this area as Rooster alley, made famous by the independent film, “Running Down the Man.” Check out some clips of the film on Youtube and see why many fly-fishermen are making this place a must visit.

The weather here is ideal. During the winter months, the north winds creates the perfect conditions for kite boarding and windsurfing. Spring, summer and fall, the warm swimmable waters, and world-class sport fishing are second to none.

This is an amazing place. Incredible sights are seen here everyday. Come see for yourself all that awaits your next adventure to Baja.

ATV rental or fishing packages: please ask us about option to rent an ATV during your stay or our fishing packages (including transportation, food and ATV/UTV use).

Note: we also have a 35 foot 5th Wheel on the same property that we rent out as well so please ask if you are looking for additional space.

The real Baja.

  • 5 of 5

The East Cape, and especially Jason's bungalow, is a great place to discover the real Baja. The bungalow has a full kitchen with lot's of counter space, and the loft style sleeping works out just fine. The separate bath house also has a washer which really comes in handy. The fishing in this area is fantastic, and you can catch just about anything right out front with the kayaks they have. You can sit on the beach and watch whales breeching and dolphins swimming by, not to mention the pelicans, frigate birds and road-runners. There are local markets and restaurants which are quite good, and a short ride up the Los Barilles gives you even more options. Nearby there is fantastic snorkeling, hot springs and parasailing. Also ask them about renting a quad for the trip, they really are the best way to get around and ride the beaches. My new go-to spot to unwind in peace and quiet.

Peaceful, private retreat

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. It's an oasis of lush greenery in the middle of the desert thanks to the fresh water, and has access to what was a largely empty beach with miles of white sand. If we stayed on the property, we could go for days without seeing another person. And we kept company with the dog and cats who came with the rental, which made us feel right at home (though warning: one of the cats is surprisingly deft tortilla thief). Jason was super helpful, and easily available with a text at any time. I'm dreaming of returning already.

Pristene Nature, total privacy, excellent service

  • 5 of 5

We, parents with 2 children (twins of 12 years,) returned yesterday from a week at the Beach Paradise. We have been living in Mexico for 20 years and have to say that we spent one of our best holidays ever. We had 7 miles of beach only for us (we saw 8 people in as many days), enjoyed the nature, wildlife, breathtaking sunsets and night skies , and of course , the total privacy. The bungalow offers all necesary services, is simple , clean and comfortable. Jason and his business partner Patty are great hosts and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Do not miss a dinner prepared by Patty: She is a great cook and for a very reasonable price, she will prepare fresh fish.

Alltogether, A wonderfull adventure and highly recommendable. We will be back.

Great Place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Very relaxing and quiet setting at the beach. Close to many restaurants and shops easy to get anything you would need but you pretty much have the beach to yourself most the time. The bungalow is very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Jason was great host and helped make my stay very enjoyable. Thanks.

Beautiful secluded place!

  • 5 of 5

Jason was super helpful and friendly and just a text message away if we needed anything. The bungalow gives you the feeling you are in the middle of the jungle! Super close to a private beach with incredible wildlife and close to the small town of La Ribera. The dog, Gabby, was such a sweetheart entertaining us with her crab hunting skills and keeping guard at night! Ate at a local restaurant called Efren's several times as the food and service were impeccable. Loved this place and will most definitely be back soon! Thanks Jason!

An enchanting, secluded paradise

  • 5 of 5

Exactly as described. This is the perfect place to get away from it all, swim in a pristine, blue ocean, and relax. The beach is completely empty, save for the lovable dog, Gabby, and the occasional ATV. The bungalow is well equipped, cozy and just delightful.
