Beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath Luxury home completely remodeled and brand new w/ loft. 2 stories w/ upstairs balcony access from master bedroom. Living room, sitting room for reading books and quiet, formal dining room, or eat in kitchen on the bar. New cherry hardwood floors, new carpet and paint, never been lived in, new appliances, 2 showers, up stairs master bathroom has a clawfoot tub for a relaxing bath after a long day. Ready and waiting for your holiday vacation. Covered front and back porch with grill for those hot summer days. Wireless internet, cable, DVD and all the amenities of home.
Plenty of parking on the street as well as a private driveway behind the house. Step out the front door and go South about 4 blocks and you are at the city park, and beautiful lake Coeur D' Alene. Walk to the city center and enjoy the shops. Grab a bite to eat at the many fine dining restaurants including Hudson's hamburgers and the iron house bar and grill. Location is close to 3 great ski resorts in the winter, sweitzer, lookout & silver mountain, 20 min. to northwest largest theme park Silverwood and indoor/outdoor water parks for all seasons, street fairs, farmers markets, art walk, parade of lights largest winter light show in the Northwest and 4th of July fireworks, and don't forget Car d' Alene, car parade and show as well as the ironman competition, centennial trail. Great place to enjoy your year round vacation. Lots of outdoor adventure and fun for families of all ages.

Remodeled on the inside
We booked this house last minute when the reservation for the original house we booked was cancelled last minute. Overall, we were happy with this house. It looks a bit run down from the outside, but the inside is remodeled. The biggest thing to be aware is that the 4th bedroom, is actually a loft - it has a door, but only 3 walls, as one "wall" is really just a railing open to and overlooking the stairs (has a real bed though, not the futon bed that is in the photos). The other 3 bedrooms are true bedrooms. There is street parking in the front of the house and then off street parking in the back that fits about 3 cars. One side of the house is on a main street that can be a bit loud. The fire station is right behind the house, but we never heard a fire truck the entire time we were there. The location is convenient the downtown area and close to parks and the lake. The grocery store is a few blocks away and Costco is about a 10 min drive away. We had issues with the BBQ when we were there and they sent someone out immediately to have it checked out and fixed. Our suggestions would be to add a drying rack for dishes, and to fix the dishwasher (when you pull the dish tray out, it has the tendency to fall all the way out). The sofas are also clearly well used. We had no problems getting our full deposit back in a timely manner.
Great house, great location!
This house was very nicely updated and a great location and set up for three families to gather and spend good quality time together. Set just a few blocks from downtown CDA and the lake, we spent a wonderful day at the beach and another at Silverwood, which was very close by and accessible to us. Grocery store nearby let us buy food and cook at the house, again the setup being ideal. Grill on deck and fully useable kitchen with newer appliances was perfect.
Four bedrooms plus a sofa bed gave us plenty of space to sleep though some of the beds are not as comfortable. Overall the accommodations were terrific. The only downside we had was that the air conditioning was not working when we arrived on Friday. We spent a fairly uncomfortable night and had to make repeated calls on Friday night and Saturday morning before we got a call from a technician who then arrived early afternoon on Saturday. He was able to fix the problem and we had a much cooler house when everyone returned later that afternoon from the lake. The down sides were that 2 of us had to spend a couple of hours at the house with the technician and away from family that afternoon and no one from the property office ever did contact us about the problem to either reassure us that they had gotten our call or to check in later to see that the problem was resolved. That was disappointing in terms of customer service and follow up, however, with the AC working, we didn't "sweat" that;)
Our family enjoyed spending time together at "home" and not in a hotel. There was a lot of space for the kids to enjoy both inside and out. We will use this home again when we return to CDA.

Stayed 5 days over the Ironman weekend.
First impressions upon arrival. Exterior of the house was very dirty. The lock box was broken so it took us quite awhile to get the key out. Once we entered we were pleased with the layout and air conditioning.
What we discovered in our five night stay:
There were 9 adults in total and the house advertised sleeping for 10. However, there were only 6 wobbly chairs around the dining room table so we had to improvise. We had to tighten the legs on the chairs so they would not collapse and had to reattach several seat springs.
There were enough beds but only the two singles were comfortable. Each of the three double beds sagged and all three couples had a poor sleep each night. I personally resorted to the air mattress on the floor in the main bedroom.
The location was perfect for us to get back and forth to the beach area.
The plastic patio chairs were quite flimsy and would recommend they get better ones. If you leaned back on them the back gave out and you risked falling over.
The property next door has two dogs that bark all evening long when the owners are not around, which was every night we were there.
The batteries in the remotes were all dead. Small item, but not when you want to watch TV.
The BBQ on the deck was a good addition.
Finally, we had a portion of our deposit withheld due to a claim that we damaged the stair nose. The stairs were carpeted so this was not possible. After disputing the claim we received our full security deposit back. Thank you KWI, LLC.
This is a fairly quiet location even though there is consistent traffic during the day. In the evening the roads are quiet.
The parking in the back is great and there is plenty of street parking.
We would go back but we would hope the concerns we noted were addressed.
Would highly recommend staying here!!!
I can not say enough good things about our whole experience with KWI Properties and the house we rented from them. Michelle was very friendly and helpful when going through the rental process with us. We had seven family members all staying here and it was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Coming back to the house after a long, fun packed day, we felt like we were coming home. We found many things to do within walking distance of the house. I would highly recommend renting this home to anyone looking to rent in the Coeur d'Alene area. We plan on revisiting the area in about 5 years and hope to rent from KWI again.
Old Charm, Modern Features
We have stayed at many rental houses over the years, and I would put this one in the top tier. The house itself looks older, but it has been completely updated. It has the older home charm, but it feels like a new home. It is an easy walk to the lake and close to everything.
Excellent Home we rented for out of town grooms family
I rented this vacation rental for my daughters grooms family from MN for their wedding! It met and exceeded our expectations. The home was very spacious and very clean. It is within walking distance which made it very nice for them to enjoy our beautiful city to it's fullest! I would recommend this home to anyone.
