Peaceful, relaxing, convenient!
This South Waterfront condo provides a combination of the joy and vacation atmosphere of the Willamette River site. With a direct connection to the excitement and hustle of the city via the famous colorful Portland streetcars, you can visit Portland University, the Cultural District, and the Pearl District with its fine restaurants, art galleries and theatre. Then head up to the 23rd street neighborhood with its quaint restaurants and many specialty shops. Finally, return home to the peace and tranquility of the river to just relax and enjoy. No need to use a car.
This condo was furnished for my personal use with designer furnishings - Italian glass and leather dining table, leather couch with matching swivel chair, leather recliner, etc. It is fully supplied and ready for your enjoyment!
We stayed in Mary's condo for 2 1/2 months from November 2, 2015 to January 15, 2016. The unit was in excellent condition and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The concierge at the Meriwether building was very helpful and friendly.
The location is excellent. It is closer to the city center but yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The Portland streetcar, Max and bus lines are all very close and easy walking distance. We bought Trimet passes that allowed us to use buses, street cars and the MAX train and use them often. However, I found it easy to walk into downtown Portland in about 30 to 45 minutes depending on where in the city I was going Dan did this when the weather permitted. The north-south street car comes fairly often and you can get to a number of excellent restaurants in both southwest and northwest Portland. By walking a little farther to the Tillicnm Crossing bridge you can get streetcars, buses and MAX train that will take you to the east side of town as well as more locations in Portland's city center.
Mary was very responsive and helpful.
My husband and I loved this VRBO! It was decorated beautifully and supplied with everything we needed. The location is amazing with streetcar access right near by. The view of the river and downtown was lovely. We honestly hated to leave and I will definitely try to stay there again. The owner is easy to get ahold of and so very helpful in answering any questions and accommodating your needs. The concierge is friendly and helpful. So convenient to pick things up at a very well stocked little store right below…you'd be hard pressed to find a better place in the South Waterfront area as well as being so close to the downtown by streetcar (such fun to ride) to enjoy all Portland has to offer.
I love this condo! This is the second year I have rented it for 4 months. It is very comfortable and has everything you need and more. The view is great of downtown Portland and the River. The owner is very responsive to any of your needs or needed repairs. A great respite from the heat of Arizona.
We lived in this amazing condo for eight months. It more than met our expectations. Gorgeous views of the river and downtown Portland. The streetcar is just steps away. The south waterfront is a very vibrant area. We loved walking along the river and enjoying the different restaurants. The dry cleaners within feet of the building entrance are the best. There is a small market in the same block. The owner of the condo is wonderful. She was always available if we had a question or problem. The concierge very attentive. It is a wonderful place to stay. Treat yourself to the "best place in Portland".
We found ourselves in sudden need of a one-month rental, with almost no time to research. VRBO made it incredibly easy to locate and review properties in Portland, and the owner of this unit really worked with us to finalize the deal in just a few days. We were into her lovely condo in no time. What a great find! Portland's new "South Waterfront" development is contemporary urban planning at it's best. Convenient streetcar service into downtown Portland was just around the corner, as well as the very slick aerial tramway up to Oregon Health Science University. The unit, on the 8th floor, was in a very secure complex, with views overlooking the Willamette River and the downtown skyline. We enjoyed the spacious deck on warm evenings. The unit itself was extremely comfortable, clean, airy and light, with a well-supplied kitchen, comfortable bed, huge bath and closet, and furnished with clean, contemporary design. We felt immediately at home, and enjoyed our stay immensely.
A beautiful condo located in a modern building offering helpful conciege service, great views from the balcony overlooking the city. So nice to step out the door and be within walking distance to shops, museums, lovely city park and farmers market. I had the pleasure of a 4 month visit while I searched for a home to purchase in Porland. This is a top notch property and I highly recommend it.
