Beautiful land and location.. inside needs work

  • 3 of 5

This cabin was in a beautiful spot on the Lake with a private dock and sweeping lawn with fire pit. That was wonderful b/c we spent a lot of time outside. That was a five star.

However the inside of this cabin left a lot to be desired. It is dark and the lighting is dim. There was a mold smell permeating the house, and it seemed to be from the indoor carpeting that was old and discolored. The furniture was worn, but this is a "pets allowed" house, and I have found most pet friendly houses do not have very nice furniture or modern updates. I had expected that.

Still, the house seems a hodge podge in terms of how it was built. There were four separate light switch plates in one bathroom for various lights in that bathroom (shower, vanity, over the tiolet)... the light switches throughout the house were difficult to find.

The refrigerator is in the hallway next to the kitchen with the washer dryer.

Also, no bathroom soap provided for the house and very little toilet paper. We had to get our own at the store. All for 500$ a night (which includes all the fees from Coldwell Banker and such.) Kind of pricey.

Great stay at Deep Creek Lake

  • 5 of 5

Was a great house right on the lake with a big yard. The house is very quaint and has plenty more of room. Great house, highly recommended.

Can't get enough!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is magical. From the minute you open the door. The kitchen is so well stocked. Breakfast there

was wonderful each morning. Travel down a hall with views of the lake, turn right into the greatroom where the fireplace goes from floor to ceiling with exposed beams. The owner has baskets of blankets to snuggle in. Windows to watch the lake and beautiful yard. Each turn you make finds another special room. Cozy warm, lots of firewood, plenty of time to relax and visit with family. Our dogs loved the yard and lake.

Wonderful cabin, great atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

The 123-Great Escape is a fantastic cabin in a wonderful location right on a slope leading directly to the lake. The cabin is spacious, and very charming, with rough hewed logs and 2 large fireplaces with room for roaring fires. There was an endless supply of dry firewood, making fires easy to start and fun to burn. We also used the outdoor fire pit to grill burgers and hot dogs one evening. The cabin was toasty warm, with plenty of hot water in the showers. I would recommend to anyone looking to get away and relax for a few days or longer. We brought our dog Daisy and she loved it !!!! Thanks for taking pets!
