About The Owner

Dick and Janette enjoying fall in the Rocky Mountains.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2010

Why The Owner chose Northwest

We have owned a condo in Keystone for the last twenty-two years and thoroughly enjoy the amenities of this world class resort. July of 2010 we made the move to a larger unit with the intent being to reduce the rental days and enjoy it as our second home for four to six months a year. Trappers Crossing provides a secluded, forested location near to all that Keystone (the largest resort in Summit County) and the wonderful Colorado Rockies have to offer. Anybody staying in our unit will appreciate this fully equipped second home and its personal feel.

What makes this townhome unique

We particularly enjoy viewing and listening to the river from the living room and deck of our town home and our easy access to the gondola during the ski season.

Stayed a month and liked it!!

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed here for a month during the 2015 skiing season and really enjoyed the accommodations. The unit is east of River Run in a quieter area of Keystone. If you wanted to walk to River Run it is about a mile. There is a very convenient shuttle that will take you and your equipment to the slopes dropping you off at Mountain House (7 minutes) or River Run. We frequently picked up the 8:24 shuttle and were on the lift by 8:35. The condo itself is nicely appointed with Real HD TV , good high speed internet and a well equipped kitchen ( we like to cook) The place is tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and everything worked well. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

We stayed at this condo for a week and we had a blast!!! We were a family of 5 (including 2 children 11 and 9 and my mom). The condo was comfortable for every member of the family. The unit was very clean upon arrival and had everything we needed for our stay. The full kitchen was great, we were able to cook a couple of meals. There were pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils, etc.

There was enough space for our family to relax and enjoy some indoor time (TV, board games, etc). The beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed was pretty good. There were lots of extra towels and bedding.

The location was great, just a couple miles from the lifts and on the shuttle route if you don't want to drive. However the roads were kept in good condition, so it wasn't difficult to drive to Keystone or the surroundings towns.

We particularly loved the location of this condo, since it was facing the woods it had beautiful views of the pine trees and the mountain. Since the unit is in the second floor, there was a private deck were our kids spent hours playing with the snow.

It was a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to be back next Winter!!

Wonderful family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 stayed at this townhome over the New Years holiday and found it to be one of our favorite VRBO rentals. It was very clean and well supplied. It is spacious enough that we never felt like we were on top of one another. The shuttle to the lifts was very close and convenient. The setting for trappers crossing is beautifully tucked back into the trees and private without at all being remote. We hope to be back in the future!

My only suggestion for change would be to add a humidifier.

Awesome Week!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (wife, 3 kids) had a great time staying at this condo. We were there for 5 nights and nobody wanted to leave. The home was very comfortable and everyone had plenty of space to eat, sleep and relax. Location was very easy to get to, but we liked the fact that we could get away from the commotion of the busy ski areas and relax in our quiet condo. It was very easy and convenient to get to the slopes - either a quick car ride (<5 min), or hopping on the timely shuttle near the unit.

The rental process was extremely easy, and the owners were very responsive to any questions. Janette told us everything we needed to know to and even gave us suggestions for fun things to do in the area.

Overall, this is a great place to stay for a vacation at Keystone. We can't wait to go back!!

Exceeded Expectations !!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from spending 5 nights in Keystone and have nothing but great things to say about this unit and our experince. Upon arrival, the unit was extremely clean - including the linens and dishes. It is well furnished with flat screen TVs both in the living room (which also had a DVD player) and master bedroom. The beds were extremely comfortable - the master bed was a nice firm king that the wife and I both woke up well rested from. The fireplace in the living room is interesting in that it is of the "closed box" variety. Basically, the gas pilot is always on and you just flip a light switch for the fire to light. Extremely convienent and it generates some really good heat. The unit has free Wireless Internet that is cable modem based and extremely fast (I got ~ 10mbps up / 2mbps down) with good signal strength throughout the unit.

Janette was extremely helpful leading up to our stay - keeping an eye on discount lift tickets and special events for us. She most certainly went well beyond expectations and was a key to making this a wonderful experience.

We will most certainly repeat and highly recommend this unit to anyone planning a trip to Keystone !!
