Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 14-16)
Bring your boat! Bring Grandma! Handicapped accessible lakefront cabin with dock sleeps 10 on main level and loft, or 16 on all levels for memorable family reunions! Public boat ramp is nearby, or rent a pontoon boat, jet ski, or fishing boat from the marina and keep it at the private dock during your stay. Send the kids out to swim (use the included dock ladder) or paddle our canoe and kayak to Lake Glenville's gorgeous waterfalls. Sloping gently to the lake, the large grassy lawn has plenty of room for pets, or for kids of all ages to play badminton, horseshoes, and roast marshmallows at the lakefront fire pit. You'll love having your morning coffee in one of the five rocking chairs on the deck as you watch the hummingbirds breakfast at the feeder. Grill hamburgers on the gas grill and eat dinner on the covered deck overlooking the serene beauty of the lake and the mountains beyond or, on cool mornings, light a fire in the wood-burning fireplace and enjoy a good book. There are plenty of activities in the area for kids and adults: shopping, hiking, white water rafting, a sliding waterfall, photography, gem mining, horseback riding, antiquing and more. Whether you crave action or yearn for peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

About Lynda Trader
I'm a retired teacher who lives in (naturally) Florida. Visiting Cashiers/Highlands with friends and family is my favorite thing to do. My husband and I enjoy hiking with our kids and dogs, photography, swimming, boating, and reconnecting with locals. The beauty of the area inspires me to capture it in pastels and acrylics, some of which are displayed in the main room and downstairs. We hope you enjoy our cabin as much as we do.
Lynda Trader purchased this Cabin in 1992
Why Lynda Trader chose Mountain
In 1992, when we were looking for mountain property, we were told to buy something at 3500 ft or higher if we wanted to stay cool in the summer. That advice was priceless! Lake Glenville is the highest lake of its size east of the Mississippi, with swimming, boating, fishing, and several beautiful waterfalls. We were also charmed by the Cashiers/Highlands area with its shopping, restaurants, and amazing grocery choices available at the local Ingles.
What makes this Cabin unique
The clear view of the lake lets you keep an eye on the kids while they're swimming or canoeing, as well as completely enjoy the lake and mountain views. Our neighborhood, The Point is a quiet, gated community on a cul-de-sac which adds to the feeling of security.
Sports & Adventure Activities
Everything you need for a fabulous holiday gathering!
Leslie's Landing has breathtaking views of lake and mountain and this home has everything a large family needs to enjoy a holiday gathering. I especially appreciated how well stocked the cabinets were with pots, pans, roasters, etc., and the open "Use what you need; replace what you finish" attitude toward staples like sugar, coffee, paper towels, etc.
Our children and our children's children laughed, loved and played for three wonderful days. Thanks so much to the owners for their kind hospitality.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Leslie's Landing, and I hope you'll come back.
Beautiful location and comfortable home on this mountain lake.
We had a great extended family vacation at Leslie's Landing. Large covered deck meant lots of leisure time sitting, relaxing and enjoying the view. The waterfront is great, we swam and took canoe rides. The house is comfortable and well stocked.
Thanks for the good review! I hope you'll come for another visit.
Great place for our family
We had a wonderful time. So well stocked. More than we could imagine. The kids loved the kayak and canoe. I can not name all the things there for our use. Lots of outside chairs, fishing poles, life jackets, corn hole, etc. stocked like a real home. My smallest grandchildren 7 and 4 said they were staying to live there. Something for every age. (Even my 93 year old mother-in-law made the trip with us.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful time at Leslie's Landing, and I hope you'll plan a return trip soon!

Loved it!! Nice accommodations. Great weather. Plan to return.
Thanks, Phyllis! I 'm glad you enjoyed your stay at Leslie's Landing. You are welcome to come back any time!
Very well stocked with the things you forget to bring.
The property was gorgeous. A perfect view of the lake and the dam. So peaceful.
The house was spotlessly clean and the pantry was well stocked with leftover items from past tenants. We had a big group of 10 people and we had ample space for everyone. Furniture was very comfortable and we loved the huge back porch with the rocking chairs. (If you stay here- make sure you fill the hummingbird feeders- they will keep you entertained all week!). Wonderful gas grill on the deck. The teenagers loved the canoe and kayak and there were plenty of lifevests for all the kids to wear. The guys fished all week with minimal success, but I think they enjoyed sitting on the dock and socializing as much as fishing.
Unfortunately, it rained several days during our stay, but we were able to rent a pontoon on our last day from Offshore Marina and we had SO much fun. The lake is so nice and just puttering around and looking at the spectacular houses was worth it.
My only complaint is that you are definitely UP in the mountains! If you don't like A LOT of twisting and curving roads, this is not the location for you. We purchased enough groceries for the week and did all of our cooking at the house. Would have liked to go out to eat at least once, but without being familiar with all the curvy roads around the area, we decided to stay in- which was fine with everyone. After the initial drive up the mountain to get to Leslie's Landing, some of my family said they never wanted to come back- but after staying there for a week and seeing how beautiful the house and lake were- we are sold on it. Definitely worth the nail biting drive. We will be back!
(Only suggestion is to add a few items to the cookware selection- when cooking for a large group, there were not enough casserole type dishes, otherwise, plenty of plates, bowls and silverware. )
Thank you for your great review, Connie! I hope you and your family DO come back to stay at Leslie's Landing again!
I'm off to buy more casserole dishes - thanks for suggesting that!
