Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 14-16)

Bring your boat! Bring Grandma! Handicapped accessible lakefront cabin with dock sleeps 10 on main level and loft, or 16 on all levels for memorable family reunions! Public boat ramp is nearby, or rent a pontoon boat, jet ski, or fishing boat from the marina and keep it at the private dock during your stay. Send the kids out to swim (use the included dock ladder) or paddle our canoe and kayak to Lake Glenville's gorgeous waterfalls. You'll love having your morning coffee in one of the five rocking chairs on the deck as you watch the hummingbirds breakfast at the feeder. Grill hamburgers on the gas grill and eat dinner on the covered deck overlooking the serene beauty of the lake and the mountains beyond or, on cool mornings, light a fire in the wood-burning fireplace and enjoy a good book. There are plenty of activities in the area for kids and adults: shopping, hiking, white water rafting, a sliding waterfall, photography, gem mining, horseback riding, antiquing and more. Whether you crave action or yearn for peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

About Lynda Trader

I'm a retired teacher who lives in (naturally) Florida. Visiting Cashiers/Highlands with friends and family is my favorite thing to do. My husband and I enjoy hiking with our kids and dogs, photography, swimming, boating, and reconnecting with locals. The beauty of the area inspires me to capture it in pastels and acrylics, some of which are displayed in the main room and downstairs.

We hope you enjoy our cabin as much as we do.

Lynda Trader purchased this cabin in 1992

Why Lynda Trader chose Smoky Mountains

In 1992, when we were looking for mountain property, we were told to buy something at 3500 ft or higher if we wanted to stay cool in the summer. That advice was priceless! Lake Glenville is the highest lake of its size east of the Mississippi, with swimming, boating, fishing, and several beautiful waterfalls. We were also charmed by the Cashiers/Highlands area with its shopping, restaurants, and amazing grocery choices available at the local Ingles.

What makes this cabin unique

The clear view of the lake lets you keep an eye on the kids while they're swimming or canoeing, as well as completely enjoy the lake and mountain views. Our neighborhood, The Point is a quiet, gated community on a cul-de-sac which adds to the feeling of security.

Incredible Lake Glenview Home!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Lake Glenville for our son's wedding and had our family stay at this home for a week. It is located on the west side of Lake Glenville about a 20 minute drive into Cashiers. It is a gorgeous home with all the amenities you need and more. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had my 3 adult children, my in-laws and my husband and myself. The home is very well built and architecturally amazing!

The view was great! Very relaxing! We rented a pontune boat from Signal Ridge Marina, which was so much fun. The house has a very good dock, which we boated to and picked up our passengers. We also tried out the canoe at the house. They have 2 kayaks which would be fun! Susan Caple, the owner has thought of everything for her guests. There are fishing poles and life jackets to use. Flashlights on the bed side tables. Books to read and plenty of brochures of things to do. The kitchen is big and any chef would be amazed. I highly recommend this home!

Large, lakefront cabin with beautiful surroundings

  • 4 of 5

Leslie's Landing was just as advertised and we had a very nice weekend. There was plenty of space for 12 people + 1 baby. We enjoyed the dock and use of the canoe and firepit.

Great Lakehouse!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful deck and dock! Awesome covered deck. Dock had a swim ladder and was east to dock a pontoon boat. Easy walk to the lake. Full view of the lake. Kitchen easy to work in and everything is stocked! House was clean and comfortable. We would rent again without hesitation! Owner's description was was accurate. We had a total of 9 adults. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives. We hiked to Rainbow Falls in Gorges State Park - an hour's drive - definately worth the drive!

We spent two months at this lake house, everything was great. The description and photos of the house are accurate, but do not begin to show the artwork that decorates the walls and hangs on the walls. Even after being there several weeks we would see new things. The kitchen is well equipped, we had everything we needed, even if we had had 20 people there would have been enough dinnerware for everyone. The owner was very helpful; she made sure we had all of the information about the house and recommended many activities in the area. Anytime we called or emailed she replied within a couple of hours if she wasn’t available immediately.

The porch is the place we spent most of our time, starting with drinking coffee as the sun was rising over the mountains on the other side of the lake with a light mist rising from the water’s surface. Many mornings there would be a flock of geese swimming through the mist, almost like a surreal dream. During the day the porch is shaded and I spent hours trying to read, I was always distracted by the hummingbirds zooming around like little fighter planes. Late afternoon and evenings we enjoyed wine and appetizers while I grilled our dinner which we ate at the picnic table on the porch.

The beds were comfortable, it is quite at night. There is plenty of room for lounging around inside watching TV or playing games.

We loved it here and hope to be able to return.

Wonderful cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family reunion. There was 13 of us and we had plenty of room for cooking, eating together and sleeping. The back porch was so nice to relax and look at the lake and the hummingbirds that came to our feeder. There was plenty to do also, we swam, skied and fished in the lake. It was also the perfect area for walking, running and riding our mountain bikes. The cabin was so nice and very well maintained. We all loved it and hope to go back.

OMG.... This house was EXACTLY what we needed !!! It was PERFECT for us. We only had 6 adults and 2 toddlers so we had PLENTY of room. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING. The only thing we needed to bring was groceries !!! The upstairs balcony was the ideal play pen for the toddlers. Never had to worry about them being outside with their toys !!! It was the HOTTEST week of the year and by being in the mountains and with the air conditioning, we never felt it !! Thank you so much for such a delightful time. We spent a very restful - get a way from it all week there !!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT !!!
