Spacious and well stocked kitchen utensils, pots and pans - always important to me. Very pleasant stay for 2 adults. It's of reading - we never tried to turn on any of the TVs or radio.
Overall this place was great for us. Instructions were pretty well laid out and Serene lakes is awesome. A few things to consider:
- I wish we had found a place lakeside. Will definitely look into this.
- The dishwasher leaked when we ran it on the last day prior to leaving
- The pictures make the place look a lot bigger than it is. For reference, its 1300 sq ft.
We have rented many cabins in different places all around CA but this little gem was absolutely hands down the best! The lake is right across the street (and OMG was it ever so beautiful!), the cabin was stocked really nicely with everything you may need and more, the beds were comfy (a little on the softer side but that works for me). Kitchen had everything i could possibly need, the only minor complain is that the dishwasher wasn't working during our stay. Susan did come out though and tried fixing it herself and the next day a plumber also came in to look at it. But in the scheme of thing this really was a tiny teeny thing and didn't bother me too much. Oh and my husband got a little frustrated with the missing TV remote upstairs. But the close proximity to the lake, amazing beautifully groomed beach and added bonus of having a canoe at our disposal made all the little things go away. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely come back next year.
Great little cabin, very well provisioned and the perfect size for our family. Driveway clearing service was very welcome during the snowstorm. Some minor hiccups with some of the amenities during our stay, but it didn't detract too much from the whole experience. Will definitely keep this spot on our list of place to visit again!
Everything was exactly as advertised. The extra charge for sheets makes it kind of a hassle for a weekend, but that's on us, I guess, not them. Rental agents were thorough and kind. When nature intervened unexpectedly, causing a delay in our departure, the rental agents were communicative and helpful, until we were safely on our way home. I appreciate everyone's flexibility in dealing with the unexpected flooding of the road into Ice Lakes. The only thing I would want might be actual kindling and newspaper for the wood stove. There didn't appear to be much of the former and none of the latter. But it was okay. I made some starters from candle wax, paper towels and egg cartons, and my partner and the kids thought it was fun to watch mommy get her MacGyver (MacGrrlver?) on, so it worked out.
A wonderfully organized cabin, with sunlit deck in the morning, great for breakfast, and talking with friendly folks walking, biking or running on street. We found everything we needed, wifi included. Even discovered the hidden teen room off the garage, complete with a pool table! We arranged having the canoe left just off the beach during our stay: the owners have right of way to path to the lake, across the street. It made for a most enjoyable summer getaway. We couldn't have been more satisfied!
