We had a wonderful family ski holiday, with more snow than we have ever seen. Even with the unexpected weather, the driveway was plowed and we arrived to a warm house. Nanette called to let us know about highway conditions and made sure we were informed. Would definitely recommend it.
Nice location, right on the lake. The complimentary use of the boats made for a very pleasant "paddle around the pond" in the early morning as well as dusk.
The cabin is very tastefully appointed, comfy furniture and beds. Full kitchen with outdoor bbq as well as dining table allowed you prepare all your meals and never need to leave! We did of course as Truckie is so close and so charmingly! We highly recommend a trip there!
The rental company was very professional and easy to work with. Timely responses to email requests, flexible to your needs and great information given, not only the very helpful lists of "do's & don'ts" but also lots of "things to do" suggestions of nearby activities.
We were there for a wedding and many of the fellow guests rented other cabins, the rental agent was great at finding the perfect cabin for each of us. It was like having all your friends create an instant neighborhood! Perfect for what we were looking to do!
Well maintained and accurate description. VRBO didn't mention if the grill is gas or charcoal, but the management website stated that it's charcoal. So we bought a big bag of charcoal and turned out it's gas. It's my fault coz I should have asked. That just make us laugh!
Whats not to love? I have always considered Serene Lakes the Hidden Gem of the Sierras. Surrounded by a lush forest of pines trees. Gorgeous light shining on the lake at different times of day. Watching the canoe'rs/kyackers/sail boaters go back and forth so quietly because no motorized boats are allowed on the lake. My favorite place to be since 1970. Love it. That's why we keep coming back.
The best thing about this cabin is that it is right on the lake. The back deck has a beautiful view of the lake and is well-shaded throughout the day. The cabin's main living area is small - perfect for one or two couples or a small family. However, there is a loft that can sleep several people. Kitchen is well-appointed, and there is a large dining table. We would stay here again.
It has a great lakefront location. The 2 bedrooms are huge and could easily fit 2 families. The loft is also very spacious with a game table & a ping-pong table. The cabin has convenient access to the lake from the family room. The kitchen is well stocked. We have rented other cabins but we like it so much that we have been coming back to this cabin every year for the past 8 years.
