About Annette Wenzler-Steves
We live on Maui since 1992 and still love the ocean more than ever. Next to raising our daughter we love to windsurf, surf, stand up paddle and take care of our horses. Life is a blessing here and we love to share this beauty with anyone who wants to explore it. Mahalo Vince and Annette

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending two weeks at Kili Pl followed by two weeks at a condo in Kihei. The contrast in Hawaiian life could not have been more dramatic, and those seeking beauty, solitude, and aloha living will find Kili Studio an island gem. Mornings spent in the “jungle kitchen” create life long memories and a deeper appreciation of Maui’s beauty and diversity.
Best value on Maui
This studio was perfect for my wife and me on our Maui bicycling trip. Small, but had everything we needed. A little far from the popular west and south beaches, but nice and quiet neighborhood away from the masses of tourists. Easy access to Hana and upcountry. Really cool semi-outdoor kitchen with great jungle view. Nice owners who live upstairs and friendly cats and dog hanging around.
It's a lovely place
We've stayed at Kili Studio for four weeks and enjoyed it very much. It was beautiful to be close to the tropical forest and the view was gorgeous. We enjoyed the warm breeze going through the rooms. The flat offered everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. -
Annette and Vince are very friendly and helpful hosts and we liked their sweet pets, too.
The neighborhood was quiet and we would always choose this place again.
With Aloha from Hildegard & Willi
Hildegard and Willi where amazing guests! Very polite and friendly. Thank you for the package which just arrived yesterday. Vince loved it!!! Me too!:))
Great view and sunset from the porch
It had everything we needed for an inexpensive stay. The sweet cats and dogs were a bonus and made it feel like home. They greeted us every time we came home. The bakery in the neighborhood and the beaches close by made it a great place to get a glimpse of what it's like to live in Maui.
Great studio with good view over lush garden
Nice studio in a quiet rural environment, 2 nice dogs an 2 nice cats, equipment fully satisfying.
Stayed there for 1 week
Cute little jungle getaway
Annette was very helpful & accomodating. The kitchen was in a screened in porch with fridge, oven and basic cookware. Spices were limited. She did provide a Brita filter pitcher as well which was very useful for us. The studio had a cooler (perfect for picnic outings), two beach mats, two beach towels, & two beach chairs. They also had a lot of snorkel gear available to borrow. The house is about a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach (surfing). The calmer water beaches are 15-30 minutes from the house. It's a great place to start off for the Road to Hana.
The bedroom had a locking sliding glass door with adjoining bathroom. We did notice some dark black spots (mold?) on the ceiling in the bathroom, but they probably have that on their to do list as she mentioned planning construction in our brief encounters. We forgot to mention it to them before we had to leave. We had access to the washer/dryer in the garage. It can get pretty dark at night, so I'd recommend bringing a flashlight. They do have cats and a dog - all seemed friendly & pretty quiet. The only real negative for staying there had nothing to do with our hosts (they were very helpful). The roosters were awful. I was unaware that they seem to run wild all over the island. Contrary to popular belief they do not just crow at dawn. Try any time of the day or night. I woke up to roosters crowing throughout the night (I.e. 1am - 6am) almost every night as the walls are very thin. Overall, it really is a cute little studio. Just bring earplugs.
windsurfing, SUP and surfing guide available. Horseback riding tours.
