It's right on the lake, has a gentle slope to the water with a beautiful view, and is located approximately 7 miles North of Hammondsport on the East side of Keuka Lake, near the town of Wayne. Our family has been coming to Keuka Lake for generations. This cottage was owned by our great-grandparents, and there is still a lot of other family in the area. We all grew up coming here and fell in love with Keuka Lake at an early age. It is a wonderful place for family and we have passed that love of the lake on to our later generations. The beauty of the lake and the surrounding area is unbeatable. There are activities for all ages - from swimming, fishing, skiing, and sailing to photography, crafts, visiting wineries, and meeting new people.
Hi Craig, just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your family's cottage. I absolutely loved the cottage - it's quintessential vintage Keuka! How lucky you are to have it. Of course I wandered over to the neighbor's property that is not well maintained and dreamed about how I could make it my own vintage Keuka cottage. Yes, I would love to have my own place at the lake someday - short of that, I hope to be able to rent a place for the season. Yours would be ideal. But that's a few years down the road. I looked on the calendar on your VRBO site and saw that the cottage is rented through the rest of the summer. I don't have a lot of vacation left but if you end up with a couple of days without a renter, let me know.
I had rented this cottage for 8 days, i only stayed for 2 days due to a medical emergency. The two days i stayed were awesome. The description was spot on and the cottage was very clean. The tv and internet service were excellent. Would stay again for sure.
Thank you so very much for our stay at your lovely cottege on Keuka Lake. It was such a treat. We went swimming and sat in the sun. We had a nice lunch with a few memberes of our family to just get away from the large event going on on the other side of the lake for my brothers memorial. My 13 year old daughter wished she could have a place to stay like yours. The cottege is the real deal - comfortable, cosy, clean, loved, not fussy but easy to live in reminding us of years ago. Perfect. Thank you. Jessica
I couldn't ask for a better weekend had a fantastic weekend that'll last a lifetime nice warm cozy comfortable look forward to doing it again
This was our second stay at this beautiful Keuka Lake cottage, this time for a week. The
cottage couldn't be closer to the water with a huge dock where we spent many enjoyable
hours. When we weren't on the dock we were in the beautifully furnished screened/glassed in front porch. That's where we had all our meals -- many times watching ducks and heron on the lake.
All the nearby wineries were a destination almost daily. The quaint village of Hammondsport is nearby and has many restaurants and shops.
We had a great time and will be sure to return.
we had a fantastic stay. It was a very busy weekend with my daughters graduation, family in from out of town. We were able to enjoy a peaceful setting and enjoy the activities at the college with ease. The property was well kept and easy to move around in. Everything was well organized and well maintained.
This Keuka Lake cottage is as charming as the photos and description indicate. The glassed in front porch was where we spent most of our time -- we simply couldn't get enough of the fantastic view of the lake and the beautiful fall foliage surrounding it. When we weren't enjoying the views, we were touring some of the many local wineries scattered along the hills surrounding the lake. Hammondsport, to the south, is a quaint little village with many interesting shops and restaurants.
Craig, the manager, was extremely helpful in answering my many, many questions and followed up during our stay to be sure everything was okay. We certainly would recommend staying at this cottage. It is the perfect place for both couples and families with children. We already have made
our reservation for next year!
Keuka Lake and the surrounding Finger Lakes area have a large number of wineries that are open for wine tastings, shopping, etc. There are several tours available in the area that take you to different wineries around the lake.
