About the Property
Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3-4)
Our cabin was built from timber harvested on the property and it authentic in every way. Only built in 2005, our cabin is cozy and up to date inside. Frequented by dozens of deer and turkeys, wildlife viewing is comfortable sitting at the picnic table on the covered porch. The deer have been known to walk across the porch occasionally.
The cabin is operated as a housekeeping cabin with no maid service, and is supplied with linens and cooking equipment. The cabin has a kitchenette, but no oven. The porch has a gas BBQ. and there is also a large fire pit. Enjoy our hiking trail or bike on our property. Plenty of room if you are bringing a boat.

About the owner: My husband & I moved here in 1989 from Kauai, HI. A builder by trade, he wanted to build something non traditional. The cabin was constructed from logs on the property. All furniture, the picnic table, and cabinets were made by us from logs off the property and milled on my husband's sawmill. I was the sander/painter and made curtains & pillows. A long but fulfilling project.
Why the Owner Chose Bigfork, MT, USA:
Having met in Aspen we moved to HI. in 1971. After nearly 20 yrs farming on Kauai we decided we needed a change. We looked at Colorado, but it was getting too busy. After a drive through this area, it seemed perfect, less hectic and beautiful.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The most common remarks we get from guests are how quiet and peaceful their stay is, how comfortable and cozy our cabin is, and how much they enjoy watching the wildlife everyday.
