About Brant Cooper

We are both Georgia natives and currently live in Savannah. We have been married since 2010 and have a Springer Spaniel named Motley. We enjoy the outdoors, beach, biking, college football and traveling.

Brant Cooper purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Brant Cooper chose Northeast Mountains

It is in a great location, you feel like you are away from everything and it is extremely relaxing but just a short walk to Helen and the River. The fireplace and porch were two things we really liked when purchasing and continue to enjoy with this cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

Oktoberfest, fall leaves changing colors, occasional snow in the winter, being away from everything but right in Helen, kayaking, fishing, hiking and enjoying the mountains.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our stay at your cabin (#280) on April 14-17. It exceeded our expectations and was just what we needed. The whole destination was a surprise for my wife to celebrate her birthday (belated). She was blown away when she saw the cabin. It was clean, well stocked, and cute. Everything went off without a hitch. We hiked to Anna Ruby Falls one day and strolled around Helen another day. We greatly appreciated your suggestions regarding restaurants and stores. Thank you very much for allowing us to "live" at your cabin for those days. We felt refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated. Who knows......we may visit again in the future.

It was a nice property, a little hard to get to due to steep hills. Very cozy and overall great

This is a lovely cabin for a weekend getaway. It is very comfortable for two people but not much more. Everything worked great and we didn't have any issues. I would recommend it to friends that want to visit Helen. It would be a difficult walk into town so be prepared to drive.

Great Getaway Cabin

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is just right and cozy for two. We really liked being close to everything. T.V was fuzzy on some stations. But we only watched a little at nite .

Perfect for a couples getaway

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful cabin for two. Very secluded to share a lot with three other cabins, front of the cabin faces the woods so the porch, front windows, etc you wouldn't know the other cabins are there. Nice furnishings, love the tub. Would highly recommend.

Great cabin, quiet location but close to everything

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is just a minute drive from downtown Helen (could walk to town but there is a large hill so we drove to town). The area around the cabin is quiet and peaceful yet so close to all the activities in town. The deck has two rocking chairs and is partially covered making it perfect to sip coffee in the morning or to watch the rain fall. We loved the jacuzzi tub and the bed was fairly comfortable (nothing beats your own bed but my husband struggles trying to sleep in other beds and he slept well). Would definitely recommend this cabin to others and will be booking it again when we make our next trip to Helen.

What we were looking for

  • 4 of 5

It was very quiet but we're able to access very easily. The drive to the cabin is straight up initially so be aware of that and it is basically a one lane road. Luckily there is not much traffic on the road. Only annoyance...the water pipes whistle and in the middle of the night it can be problematic. I would rent there again because of how quiet it was.

"out of the way" cabin but really close to town

  • 4 of 5

enjoyed stay in helen. shops close early since it isnt in october. most closed around 5. we took our own sheets even though they were supplied(found 4 hairs on sheets). tv reception isn't great as picture was fuzzy but dvd player worked well (just didn't use remote, think batteries were dead). if you are tall be careful of standing up quickly when you get out of bed. i hit my head on ceiling angle, lol. DON'T eat at mexican place in town if you are used to good mexican. owner was very accomodating and contacted us quickly.
