The bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation for 4 adults or 2 families with their children under 16 (max occupancy is 6 persons). No-one needs to sleep on a sofa bed in the living room! As the cabin is about 30 yrs old, there is only one bathroom, but we have a huge hot water tank and everyone has fun sharing!
It is extremely comfortable and energy efficient with warm cedar walls throughout, and a great wood burning fireplace/heater (we supply the wood - don't worry there's electric heat too). The inviting living/dining rooms have recently updated furniture and lots of space for everyone to relax after a day's activities. It is a great spot to snuggle up with a good book or play board games (we have lots for sharing), but for the technology addicted, there is also satellite TV (tons of channels, including sports), CD/DVD player, and free wireless internet. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a good supply of condiments and spices to get you started.
There is ample off street parking and lots of room inside to store skis, snowboards, boots and skates.
This family owned cabin gets lots of use and TLC. We go out of our way to make our few guests feel welcome and at home.

About the owner: The owners are the family of the original builder. Our families really enjoy spending holidays at Apex and come as often as we can. Our visitors always tell us how comfortable and relaxing it is to be there and we do everything we can to make sure your visit is comfortable too.
Why the Owner Chose Summerland, BC, Canada:
Apex has always been a family oriented, great value ski resort. It is easily accessible from Penticton, from Vancouver, and from Washington state. When our father and the family built the cabin, he chose Whitetail Road because it is the most private area that was still ski-in / ski-out. We are also located only a 5 minute drive from the Nickle Plate Nordic Centre and Nickle Plate Provincial Park, which have miles of great groomed and ungroomed cross country and backcountry skiing.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Apex has great downhill and cross-country skiing, short lift lines, and fabulous powder snow. It also has wonderful family activities, including sleigh rides, skating, movie nights, toddler care, and a terrific ski school. The whole resort area is small enough that you can still see amazing starry night skies and go for romantic, quiet walks both day and night.
