The apartment has just undergone a total renovation and is now very well equipped for a comfortable stay. The second bedroom upstairs can either be a kingsize bed or two singles depending on your requirements. The third bedroom, also upstairs,is small but has a double bed. The caretaker of the apartment will always be on hand to help with any questions. Included in the price: 7 nights self-catered board, bed linen (2 pillows, 1 bath sheet, 1 hand towel, 1 bath robe per person), 1 bath mat per bathroom, 3 x tea towels, oven gloves, apron, departure clean, mid-week clean, beds made for your arrival, starter toilet rolls (2 per WC), bin bags (7), dishwasher tablets (7), washing powder, washing up liquid & sponges, salt & pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, large selection of dried herbs, L’Occitane products in each bathroom: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap. Outstanding Ski in Ski out in Val D'Isere

I don't think we could have found a better place to stay in Val D'Isere. We could easily ski out to three lifts and ski in to the apartment from a nice blue run. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished and well organized. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could ever need. Madeleine is very organized and quick to respond to all that we needed! We all want to go back.

Fantastic apartment, perfectly situated.

Madeliene's apartment at 188 Le Santel lived up to all our expectations. It is beautifully appointed, and equipped to an exceptionally high standard. It is immaculately clean and, as well as lovely L'Occitane toiletries in the bathrooms, the kitchen comes with any herbs and spices you might need. The kitchen is better equipped than any holiday apartment we have ever visited, in ski resorts or elsewhere. The beds are very comfortable and the linens of a high specification. The apartment building was very quiet, despite being close to anything you might need in the resort. We loved the boot warmers in the apartment, especially as we had a very stormy week and needed to start the day with warm feet! We had one stormbound day, but it was easy to settle into the comfortable couches and chairs for the day and enjoy a few games of scrabble, with the game provided. Madeleine could not have been more helpful, providing us with a wealth of useful information, arranging our taxi transfers from Geneva and even offering to arrange an internet shop from a supermarket in the valley. We cannot praise the apartment and Madeleine highly enough. Bravo!

A wonderful stay in Val

My stay in La Daille was my second in as many years, both times I've stayed in La Santel 188. The first thing to understand is that this is someone's home and thus it feels completely different to being in a hotel or chalet. You really can relax and enjoy the alps whilst staying here. The accommodation is modern and of a very high standard with all the mod cons you'd expect whilst still feeling homely. The complex itself is served by a small but well stocked supermarket and all the other shops you'd need such as ski hire and places to eat.

There are good transport links into the centre (take 2 mins if you don't want to walk) so you can have a nice evening out (or day if you're not on the slopes).

As for the skiing and apres ski. The location of the accommodation really is ski in and ski out, no trading at the beginning or start of the day. You're straight out on to a choice of lifts the run reliabily. The night life is also great fun with plenty of choice in terms of bars and restaurants.

If you've been thinking of val d'isere and are looking for somewhere to stay I can whole heartedly recommend la Santel 188. You won't regret it.

Home from Home

This home from home apartment never fails to deliver. This is the third year in a row we have stayed and it just gets better! It truly feels as though we are coming to our home in the snow! It is beautifully maintained and has everything you would need. The ski in ski out location is second to none and is only 15-20mins walk from the centre of Val. La Daille itself has some gourmet bistros. I highly recommend it. We will be back!

Great location, very well equipped apartment

The apartment is probably the best equipped apartment we have ever stayed in, it has everything you could ever possibly need, there is more than enough storage for all your luggage, clothing, ski equipment etc. you simply walk out of the apartment block onto the slopes, and you can ski a few different runs back to the door, the décor is lovely, the beds are very comfortable and the apartment was very clean when we arrived, the owner gave us a lot of extra information about the area, transport, shopping, eating out etc. and was always available to answer any of our questions. We arrived late on the first day and simply bought pizzas from the take away a few minutes away, there are also a few bars and restaurants very close by as well as the free bus into Val d'isere where there are lots of restaurants. Most evenings we cooked and stayed in as the apartment was very comfortable after a hard days skiing.

I would definitely recommend this accommodation to my family and friends and would definitely stay here again.

About The Owner

My father bought this apartment in 1969 when I was a child and no one had heard of Val d'Isere! Since then it has grown into a phenomenal ski resort which I and my children love as there is so much on offer. The summer time is gorgeous too with many different activities to partake in. Definitely a great resort for keen skiers.

Why The Owner chose La Daille

My father bought this apartment when another resort we were due to go to had no snow. He was told by a travel agent about Val d'Isere as it had lots of snow. We went on holiday there and he bought the apartment six months later as he was so impressed by the resort.

What makes this apartment unique

As the apartment is not located in the main town of Val d'Isere it is much quieter (particularly at night) than other places I have stayed in. A great advantage is being able to ski to the door and avoiding long bus queues at the end of the day.

I just wanted to inform you that we are enjoying a lot our stay in your charming apartment. All the furnitures are perfect. We can find all the little things needed in a house , especially in the kitchen.

So, we don't feel like people renting a house, but like friends invited in a private and sweet home. I just have to thank you for this great holiday. Many thanks also to jitka who is really professional and helpful.

Check in time is 4pm. Check out is 10 am.
The 25% initial deposit is non-refundable. There is a 25% damages deposit required which will be returned to you within 2 weeks of the end of your stay.
You will be met on arrival by the caretaker who will give you the keys and show you around the apartment.

Minimum Age required to rent the apartment is 25 years old and the person who books the apartment must stay at the apartment for the entire rental period. Sub-letting or parents renting for their children under the age of 25 is NOT allowed. No student groups or house parties of any kind.
