Loved the penthouse condo!

Our family of five has stayed at two of the owners' properties and we love them. The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean. The property was exactly as the pictures depicted. It was right on the beach which was very clean and not overly crowded. The rooms were spacious. The balcony and view were awesome. And there was a lot to do within walking distance. Our favorite thing to do was go crab hunting at night! We would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic condo with best view

Was online to see about renting again this condo in September as I love it and the view. I was appalled to see the reviews as the condo and management has always been outstanding. It sounds like some disgruntled college students that might not have gotten their deposit check returned. What a shame to write these untrue statements.

#504 was updated & clean - everything was awesome

We stayed in unit 504 previously with our family and spent another week there in the summer. Love the location right on the beach and the ocean view from the top floor. The furnishings were great and there was plenty of dishes/utensils in the kitchen. My wife was in love with the giant mirrors in the living room. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean - sheets, comforters, bathrooms & sofas were all clean. Our kids were happy about all the tvs and and cable channels, and brought their xbox. The condo staff was courteous and helpful with anything we needed or had questions on and recommended good places to eat and shop. We got fresh towels everyday and there was a washer/dryer on each floor so we could keep up with laundry.

We had our own car but walked to a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops and we rented a golf cart and segways. We also hit up Schlitterbaun and had fun. The ocean was warm. Liked all the sand dunes so we could go out far with the kids. The owner was very responsive in getting the place rented to us and the process was easy. Will definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends.

Beautiful condo and view, TERRIBLE customer service

When we checked in to our 5th floor condo, the manager said in passing: "There are a few loose tiles on the 5th floor so there will be workers there Thursday and possibly part of Friday to fix them." I asked her if there would be a lot of noise, she replied "no." The workers arrived and started working. We realize that breaking up tiles is going to be noisy, but we were unprepared for what followed. First of all, the work was much more extensive than was reported. The few loose tiles turned out to be major sections of the hallway both to the immediate left and immediate right of our condo. The work stopped on Saturday and Sunday, for which we are grateful. On Monday, the work began again, but now they had a tile cutting saw placed directly in front of our door. The noise was constant, and very loud. I went down to complain, and this is when things got really weird...

The two ladies at the front desk were kind and polite. They informed me that the manager could not speak to me because she was on a "conference call" and for me to leave my number and she would call me back. I refused and said that I would wait until she came out of her office. I want to make clear that at no point was I disrespectful and I never raised my voice. In fact, I assured the front desk girls that I did not blame the workers in any way as they were just doing their job.

The mgr. finally came out of her office and never addressing me by name she said: "you. Yes, you." "Why are you being so difficult?" I have to tell you that I was quite shocked to be addressed in this way. I explained that we were upset about all the construction noise which we had been assured would be short and minimal. She replied that she had never said it would be short and minimal and that our contract stated that we were to be prepared for major construction during our stay and had no recourse. Honestly, I don't know how else to say this, she was just plain nasty and totally escalated a conversation that could have been handled WAY better if she had apologized in any way for the inconvenience to us.

More than the noise, we are hugely disappointed in how this was handled--both by the manager and the owners of the condo... I tried to call the owners several times but, despite leaving messages, my calls were not returned, nor did they answer my email.

I also want to clarify that we have used VRBO for years and this is our first bad experience and our first bad review.

Wonderful Relaxing Weekend!!

My friend and I both needed a quiet weekend away from the Medical World and we found the right place to be! This condo was clean, easy to get to and quiet! We both had our own bedroom and bath. The kitchen was well equiped and we were able to drink our hot coffee on the balcony in a rocking chair.The beach was "right there" and seeing sunrise each morning was memorable! This place is great for two friends or a small family as it is big enough to have "elbow room". The complex is clean/well-maintained and everybody was so helpful and friendly. I did not use the pool or hot tub, but everything I did use, worked well. I have no reservations in recommending this condo to my friends and family.
