About Kathy Looney
Our family has owned this property since 1967. Attached is a photo of my son with a nice catch for dinner. We also own the property located next door which is VRBO Listing # 390628. If this home is booked for your planned vacation dates please check the other listing for availability.
Kathy Looney purchased this House in 1967
Why Kathy Looney chose Cameron
Our family had been spending summer vacations on Hebgen Lake for 20 years between 1947 and 1967. In 1967 my father bought this property on the Madison River 12 miles Northwest of Hebgen and started a building project that lasted another 20 years. Our entire family has loved this spot since the day we bought it. We own another property near by so we decided to share this one with other interested people that are looking to see, enjoy and experience the magnificent beauty of Montana.
What makes this House unique
This home is the perfect place to rest and read a book or go out and spend your energies doing the things you have dreamed about. The home is an early American western styled home with the unique qualities only a contractor with 60 years experience could come up with. During the summer when it gets a little warm you can walk out on the deck and feel the cool air as it flows up from the river. If you like to fish this is a renowned location. If you like side trips you could spend years seeing all of the things within driving distance. Or if you just want to kick back and enjoy yourself this is the place to do it.

The home was very clean and convenient in it's location. The only problem is that it is literally right on the highway and not an ideal place for animals or small children. I think it would be fine for adults and older kids.
Location, Location, Location
Great location with a beautiful view .... not to mention world class fishing at your doorstep. Well maintained, everything was great !
The property is located 35 miles from the town of West Yellowstone which is the west entrance to the park. Is is also part of the area that is known as The Gold West Country. The town of Ennis is 35 miles to the north of the property. The Gold West area has a rich history and heritage in ranching and gold mining. The town of Virginia City Montana near Ennis was the location of a great placer gold strike. It was also the capital of Montana for a time and has a very colorful history. Today it is the Madison County seat. Virginia City and neighboring Nevada City still have somewhat of a ghost town feel.
