About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Why Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp chose Santa Fe

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes; walk everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Kiva Casita. It is in a quiet location yet walking distant to the plaza and farmer's market. We even walked to and from Canyon Blvd. We found the casita to be clean and well appointed. It even has an expresso machine. We also appreciated the fact that there was washing soap and dryer sheets for the washing machine and dryer....as well as other essential supplies in the kitchen...salt, sugar, dish soap. The two full baths are usual when traveling with a teenager. She was very comfortable sleeping on the day bed in the "hallway". Our reservation request was promptly answered (we received a telephone call), same when we called with a simple question on our arrival and again when I emailed regarding a left-behind item. One of our favorite meals was at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. Enjoyed the opera and the tour of the state capital. However we were a little disappointed with the OKeefe Museum as it has a special exhibit and only a few OKeefe's on display. Loved the Spanish Market and Madrid.

Wonderful Christmas vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful and very special Christmas at Casa Manzana. There was a Christmas tree perfectly placed in the living room when we arrived and the kids were all smiles from that point on. The master bed was super comfortable and we loved having the patio right off the bedroom to let our Boston Terrier be free at times. There was a small grassy area outside the patio for her (on leash) as well. There is also a huge dog park within 5-10 min drive. We walked to town which was about 10-15 mins. and easy. Kitchen had everything including coffee and basic spices. 2nd bedroom had room for an air mattress for our 3rd child. 2 bathrooms were very large and easy to share. Very large dining table for eating and for game playing and living room very loungable for all of us. Fireplace was nice but flue not drawing well, and made room a little smoky. We LOVED our accommodations and would return without hesitation.

Beautiful condo with amazing views and just blocks away from the plaza! The owners are incredibly friendly and have prepared a great catalog of things to do and places to go in Santa Fe. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

walking distance to plaza. great for 2 couples

We have a friend who lives in the same area so we knew the vicinity and how the units were set up. We found ourselves very comfortable and the unit was kept up very well by Two Casitas. Would definitely stay at Pinon again.

Very nice

  • 4 of 5

Very nice place. Really close to downtown. Only thing we didn't like was the lack of window coverings. Most windows had no curtains or shades.

Beautiful Vacation in a Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed with Two Casitas in Santa Fe and it's always a delight. The "Piñon" home is gorgeous with lots of room, gated entry, and private parking with a garage! Normally a garage wouldn't matter to us but for the winter snow it was great. For this "couples retreat" my wife and our close friends had lots of space and the accommodations were great, there was even a Santa Fe style kiva fireplace that kept us toasty while it was snowing! Location is fantastic, you can walk to the downtown plaza area from here as well as all of the art galleries and restaurants, though if you're staying in the winter we would recommend driving as it can get quite brisk.

Owner's Response: Wow! What an awesome review. Thank you so much. Santa Fe's winter months can be fairly cold, but attract a lot of people to our awesome Ski Basin. It's extremely important to us to make sure our homes maintain that cozy, warm, Santa Fe style vibe so that our guests can feel at home no matter what conditions the weather brings outside. The home's proximity to downtown also means that you won't have to deal with TOO long of a walk in the cold. We are also very thrilled that you came to stay with us again. We LOVE our repeat guests! Make sure to mention that to us when you come stay again, as we might be able to give you a discount on your next stay :) We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.

Pinon Vista - Accomodating and Pictureseque

  • 5 of 5

Pinon Vista, with its 5bedrooms and 4baths is ideal for group of 10 adults,(although it can accomdodate up to 14). The location is wonderful, but I recommend a car for activitiies including daily excursions, sightseeing, shopping and dining. The home's picturesque setting is perfect for sunset dining (hire a chef if you don't want to cook.. we did and it was fabulous.. ask for Mark Oppenheimer's

contact info) Upon arrival the house was ready for us, stocked with groceries per our request. It was a pleasure working with the management team. When returning to Santa Fe, Pinon Vista will be our first choice!
