About Tom Newberry

We built this house so that we would have a large retreat location for our family of 7 children and 12 grand children.

Tom Newberry purchased this lodge in 2007

Why Tom Newberry chose Gallatin Gateway

We have been visitors and property owners in the Big Sky Area for over 37 years. The Yellowstone Country is such a unique and special place with outdoor activities 4 seasons of the year.

What makes this lodge unique

We love to enjoy the fantastic fly fishing on the Gallatin River and in Yellowstone National Park. Wildlife viewing is just out our back window and we regularly see elk, deer and moose. The skiing is some of the best in the country and we love both down hill and cross country.

Perfect house for a family of 12 adults and a one year old who thought she owned the place.

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our family celebration. Well equipped, clean, nicely decorated for the mountains. Our adult children are big hikers and especially loved the proximity to trails and Yellowstone. Would certainly rent this home again.

Perfect place for family celebration

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Dudley Creek Lodge. Great design. Each family had their own bedroom. The dormitory downstairs was a lot of fun for the kids. Everything in the Lodge was of high quality with a well supplied kitchen. It was the perfect place for a family vacation which included our three children, 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great grand children plus spouses. Plenty of room for all. Tom Newberry made sure everything was perfect and provided a great recommendation for a chef to handle a celebration dinner. Overall it was a great experience.

Excellent House

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect, the area was breathtaking, the rooms were clean and big. The kitchen had everything we needed. Can't say enough about how much we love this house! We got to the west Yellowstone entrance within 45 minutes of leaving the property, but our family really just wanted to hang out in Big Sky because we liked it so much.

Our Perfect Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 18, four families coming from four corners of the country, convening in Montana for a week of fun. This house was absolutely ideal. Comfortable, spacious but still cozy. The bedrooms were all so comfortable and well appointed. We had four choosy moms who gave the entire house a big thumbs up. The kids (10 of them) all had a blast too. Location was perfect to access all the activities we did including hiking, rafting, horseback riding and rafting. Highly recommend to any big group or family looking for a great spot to call home for a week in Montana.

We were pleasantly surprised by the property, the atmosphere, and the experience. The lodge was very inviting and accommodated our family very well. We were able to visit Yellowstone on several occasions while there and there are several activities to do in the area. Our family was thrilled with their stay!

December 2014

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely Fabulous home, relaxing, plenty of space, 2 fireplaces, great kitchen. Accessibility to Big Sky Skiing was excellent, about 10-15 min to the slopes. Also, West Yellowstone entrance was 45 min to 1 hour door to door. 3 min to Big Sky town center. Property manager was great, met us at the property to give us all the details and amenities of the property. He also was very accessible with recommendations in town and made sure our family was comfortable and enjoyed our stay! Awesome!
