I moved to Boulder in 1982 for my first job out of engineering school. I moved into an apartment in an old victorian and my next door neighbor in that apartment is now my wife of 31 years! We purchased the house on Spruce when we married in 1985. It is our primary residence and we enjoy our time living here when it is not rented out.
Owner purchased this House in 1985
Why Owner chose Whittier
In 1984 my wife and I bicycled across America. We lived in Boulder at the time and realized after touring the country that Boulder is very special. I have been a nordic ski racer for 38 years. We share a love of cycling and I still love to run the trails close by. Boulder provides the perfect mix of proximity to great outdoor adventure and yet has all the amenities and diversity of a college town. It is not too big and not too small. The city planners had the forethought to purchase open space and keep a greenbelt on the edges of town. Enjoy Boulder, I know we do!

Met All Expectations
We were looking to experience Boulder the way it was when I lived there a long time ago and this house was exactly right for the occasion. Very old house with minimalist decor right in the center of Pearl St district. The private drive was a great perk with enough room for a Superduty and a second car. All amenities were modern and worked, the owner was helpful and a wonderful time was had by all.
Awesome stay right next to Pearl St.
This was our 3rd year in a row visiting Boulder on Spring Break. We always try and find a home really close to Pearl St. because there’s so much to do. Our boys love the Barcade and we have to be there when it opens each day at 4pm! The property was neat and clean and was literally a 5 minute walk from Pearl st. The best part about the property was that you actually get a huge driveway to park in and don’t have to struggle to find parking each day when you return home. If you have been to this area before you’ll realize that’s a huge priceless bonus! Also you are on the main floor of the home as well which was awesome. The last two times we came and rented a home we were in someone’s basement and that’s not fun if the tenants above you are loud and noisy. I did see that there have been reviews about the upstairs tenants in this home being noisy but we didn’t experience that. Let’s face it these homes are older and they make noise. By 8 In the morning the tenants above were awake and yes you do hear the water being turned on and the floor creaking with each footstep. That’s what you get when you rent a home. If you want to rent an entire home all to yourself be prepared to spend 5 times as much in this area or just realize your gonna hear some noise. Again we were very satisfied. Two rooms, one for our two boys and then a room for us. Clean, nice full kitchen and again the ease of parking esch day! Thanks for a wonderful visit and we will return.
Great stay here at Pete's place in Boulder. No problems and a very nice house. Thanks!
Great location & charming home
We were in Boulder for a college football game and were extremely pleased with this home - just perfect for two couples. The home itself is a charmer with quality furnishings and comfy beds. The location just one block from Pearl St is ideal ... short walking distance to everything - shopping, restaurants, hiking trails and CU campus. Highly recommended!
First class accommodations.
Great property with a great location. Parking in driveway a bonus
