Guestbook comments from the manager

Jeff and Mary,

Thank you for allowing our family to stay in the Tree House. There was everything that anyone could need. Glassware, pots and pans, appliances to cook with and to clean up afterwards. Also an abundant supply of towels and wash cloths and a washing machine to do dirty laundry.

What a splendid view of the marsh that overlooked the front windows. We saw so many deer and fawns and brown cranes. There was also two swans with 4 ducklings. We also got about three glimpses of the eagle. On Thursday it was raining and we were watching videos and he landed in one of the large pines outside the windows. He did not stay long. As soon as he saw us he flew off. That was truly a once in a life time sight.

Amazing private home away from home

  • 5 of 5

I had such a great time here with my family and friends. The kitchen was ready to cook, the closet was full of games, the screened porch was a perfect spot for listening to the rain, and there was even a wagon for pulling chairs and toys to the beach. Everything was comfortable and we had a great week!

very clean, quiet, and comfortable with nice woodland views and close to beach and bar/restaurant.

  • 5 of 5

we really enjoyed our stay. Though not on the beach and no beach views, it was very close- one or 2 city block lengths- and no traffic to worry about. The views of the woods are special, as is the bayou. The property backs up to an old cemetery. There are stairs, but nothing too extreme.

Our stay was very enjoyable and the land was beautiful. Jeff Dandron was very helpful and responsive. We loved how close the beach was from the house and all the accommodations. Looking forward to staying again.

great, clean, well appointed house

  • 5 of 5

This property is truly great. The house itself is so nice with modern amenities. The beds were comfy (and there are a lot of them) and real (no air mattresses or sleeper sofas). Having two bathrooms is rare treat no matter what size your group is. The house is well maintained and clean. The two porches were our favorite, one that is screened in and great for breakfast, games, or a late night book, the other outside. The screens on the porch and windows were in great condition so you didn't have to fear bugs getting in any cracks. The house is secluded and off of a small creek or pond and all manner of animals can be heard at night (in a good way!). The beach on Lake Michigan is about a 10 minute walk, down a paved private road, across a busier road, and tucked behind a quaint local restaurant so not super close. The beach is public and small, but we never saw too many people, although there was quite a lot of rain during our stay so that could have been a factor. Overall, if you're looking for a great, clean, well appointed house this is the place! We would definitely stay again.

very friendly, clean and cozy, a lot of air

  • 5 of 5

this was our 2nd time.

I like the place a lot. The weather was OK: 2 rainy days, 2 warm days and 2 cold sunny days. But we enjoyed our time anyway: kayaking on White River - the best, warm dunes- you can stay on the beach all day and feel fresh! Fresh fried perch at the restaurant across the road was my favorite. And everything was friendly to our dog -very important. This is a very good place for vacation.

Amazing house high on a hill!

  • 5 of 5

The place was immaculate. Very clean beutiful home the hard wood floors downstairs and the amazing loft upstairs. My daughter had a very hard time picking a bed! Everything you could need was there. We walked down to the shore line quite a bit, ate at the place right by the trial the food was every good. Travled all over the two wonderful towns that are near by. Such a serene and quiet place. I look foward to staying there again! I will be recommending everyone. Thank you!
