Enjoy our wonderful cabin nestled just minutes from the parkway between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cabin sits among small community of upscale cabins tucked in a Smoky Mountain Valley on a beautiful mountain stream. Our cabin delivers a great mountain experience.
You access our cabin from Caney Creek Road where we have a large parking area next to the front porch. After opening the front door with your key code, you enter a full kitchen with laundry closet. Then, you move into the dining and living room areas, which have spectacular views over a mountain stream. The living room also features an electric fireplace and flat screen TV. The back of the cabin features a 30-foot wood beamed ceiling with oversized windows. Your view is a wooded collage of various colors depending on the season.
Off the living room is the master suite with king bed and full bath. The first-floor porch has a gas grill (propane included) and a couple of rocking chairs to enjoy your coffee or beverage of choice while listening to the stream. Step up stairs to the game room with an open floor plan, pool table, foosball table, and another flat screen TV. Also, upstairs is a private shower and heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub. Climb a ladder into the upper loft for a another sleeping area perfect for kids. Step out to second-floor porch where you can enjoy the hot tub with privacy fencing. There is a nice lounge chair out there and a great place to nap.
GPS & CELL SIGNAL:
Cell and GPS signals are weak throughout the mountains. We strongly suggest writing directions down BEFORE departing cabin. This really helps!
BEDROOMS / SLEEPING OPTIONS:
There are four sleeping areas that can accommodate 8 to 10 people.
Sleeping Area #1: Master Bedroom. King Log Bed. Sleeps 2.
Sleeping Area #2: Living Room. Queen Tempur-Pedic Sofa Bed. Sleeps 2.
Sleeping Area #3: Third Story Loft. Two Full Mattresses on Floor. Sleeps 2 to 4.
Sleeping Area #4: Second Floor Game Room. Full Size Futon. Sleeps 1 or 2.
COOKING UTENSILS: You can grill outside on a gas grill or cook in the kitchen. Our kitchen table seats up to 8. There is an electric griddle for pancakes and bacon. Dishes and utensils are fully stocked.
HOT TUB: Bring your bathing suit and some beach towels, so you can enjoy the hot tub.
WASHER & DRYER: Small over and under unit in a closet off the kitchen. You will need laundry detergent if you stay a while or if you have kids
Our guests love how easy our cabin is to find and access. You can be sitting on the porch one minute and be in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge the next.
YEAR-ROUND SPECTACULAR VIEWS & SERENITY!
This is truly a four-season retreat. The colors of the leaves change each season. The back of the cabin has tall glass windows with views into a beautiful wooded area that descends into a small mountain stream. In the Fall, you can wake up to the wonderful reds, yellows and browns of autumn. In the Winter, you can enjoy the snow or a frozen stream outside of the door. Spring brings the bright greens into play as the buds bloom on the trees. And there is no better place to cool off in the Summer than putting your toes in a mountain stream or floating in a river.
FAMILY TIME: Our guests say they enjoy some of the best family time they have ever spent here. The kids find ways to talk and play and fall in love with nature. Couples find romance. Families come together here and make memories.
WILDLIFE? Yes! If keep your eyes open, you can spot bear, deer, wild turkeys, red-tail hawks and all kinds of wildlife. Squirrels, chipmunks and birds will entertain those who sit on the porch.
Fire Pit and Picnic Table: At night, the cabin glows in a way only a cabin can. Sit by the fire pit and roast marshmallows and tell stories under the amazing star cover of the Smoky Mountains.
We use the cabin as a base camp to explore the Smoky Mountains. There is too much to do in just few days. It can be base camp for shoppers, hikers, fly fishermen, horseback riders, skiers, bikers, cyclists, or roller coaster junkies. All the attractions are close by.
DOLLYWOOD is 10 minutes away.
ZIP-LINES are 5 minutes.
SNOW-SKIING: Ober Gatlinburg.
HIKING, EXPLORING: 30 minutes from Cades Cove and 20 minutes to Townsend.
HORSEBACK RIDING: Minutes away.
FLY-FISHING: Try your hand at fly fishing in the stocked streams of Gatlinburg or the wild streams in the Smoky Mountains. They stock trout downtown every Thursday. Friday is a great day to fish.
Restaurants, Nightlife and Entertainment: Just minutes away from a huge selection of fun places.
Dog (small / medium) Friendly: $150 pet fee- Please no pee pads. Dogs need to be house trained, kept off the furniture and not left in the cabin if they will cause damage. No cats.
