Incredible home and PERFECT location-THIS IS A MUST

  • 5 of 5

Look no further! I booked this house for my husband's 40th birthday. We had 11 adults, one 6 month old, and three 2.5 year olds. We rented the house from 1/18-1/21. The house could not have been more perfect. We never felt crowded and enjoyed the house and all its amenities. We cooked breakfast and dinner each night and enjoyed the hot tub and grill. The grill is such a nice addition! We are a grilling group and we were so blown away with how well the grill worked.

The first night, it snowed, which made it even more perfect. We had fresh powder the next day, and hit the Alpine Slopes, which were less than 5 mins away. I can't emphasize enough how perfect this house is and how amazing the location is to all the winter activities. Plus, when you purchase a lift ticket for Alpine you can use it for Squaw. That is a deal in itself considering how expensive winter sports can be. Squaw Village took us less than 10 mins to get to and we enjoyed the village and all it has to offer. It was so nice to come back to the house after a long ,cold day of skiing and snowboarding. The fireplace is a nice touch with the waterfall. The waterfall use is a must to help with the moisture. The views alone are spectacular. In every room you have a view of the beautiful tree tops. The fact that this house is built into a mountain is like no other. The pictures don't even do it justice , that is how impressive this home is.

The owner Alex is a pleasure to deal with. He provided me with all the information I could possibly need for our stay. I wish I could give this 5 plus stars because it deserves so much more. Thanks again, Alex, we plan to make this an annual family trip. We'll see you next year!

I recently stayed at this rental with four other couples and we had an absolute blast. The house is beautiful, with a really modern kitchen and an awesome hot tub on the upstairs deck. The layout of the home is very unique and reminded me of a castle :D

The owner of the home was incredibly nice and was available for any questions we had! The breaker went out on the hot tub and we were able to give him a call and he answered and was instantly able to help us.

I definitely want to come back to this house and do another trip to Squaw!

Ski weekend and family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a fantastic weekend with family. We really enjoyed this home when we weren't playing in the snow. The neighborhood is quiet, the area is beautiful, and the house offered more than we were expecting. The owner was very responsive and the house was clean/stocked on arrival. The kitchen is very well equipped for any meal and for any size of family. We had 13 people in the home and making large meals was no problem. Everyone had their private space when needed, but the main floor was large enough for all to gather and enjoy. Wonderful place overall, and very highly recommended.

Only additional comments I would make about the physical space is that the home is built into the mountain, with 4 or 5 tiered levels of home. There are stairs to climb, so be aware of that when considering. Also, if you have young children who don't quite have their balance perfected yet be aware that the home has stairs and sharp tables, corners, etc. We had a young one and just had to pay extra attention. No problems at all. The home is a mountain retreat, so we were expecting some hazards:)

Christmas to New Years family gathering

  • 5 of 5

Our family of ten loved this house for many reasons.........the spacious and sunny great room accommodated a variety of activities, the fully supplied kitchen delighted several cooks in our group, the practical entry level with space for shedding and storing snow gear, the bedroom with the 'nest' at the top of the spiral stairs, and finally the nice choice of games and puzzles. We were a very happy group. Nice temperatures and lots of sunshine also helped. Thanks Alez and Rhonda!

Waterfall on Rock Fireplace

  • 5 of 5

This place is stunning. The main level is a large open design, perfect for hanging out with a large group. Big stone fireplace, with a freaking water fall coming off it, no joke, a waterfall in the middle of the living room. There were 10 of us and we all slept comfortably. Well appointed kitchen, good sound system, this place has it all.

Oh yeah, and the owners are very responsive to communication!

If there was a 6th star, this place would get it!

Lovely Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of fourteen (sixteen if you count the pups!) recently enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely chalet at Alpine Meadows. We enjoyed quiet evenings on the two decks, the hot tub, cooking our meals in the gourmet kitchen, and relaxing and lounging in the beautiful family room. There were enough beds to suit us all including a bed for on of our four legged guests. Everything was perfect, from the weather to the gorgeous mountain setting, to the lovely responses and emails from our hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Conveniently located and close to Truckee as well as Tahoe, we would highly recommend this home for a fantastic getaway.
