Getting to Downtown Tampa, Ybor City, Hyde Park, Soho, and the Port at Channelside couldn't be quicker or easier.

I-275 is 5 minutes away and the world class beaches of St. Petersburg and Clearwater are just 30 minutes further. I-4 is also only 5 minutes from the house, and all of Orlando’s attractions and Theme Parks are just a bit over an hour beyond.

For added peace of mind, this home has all new roof, plumbing, electrical, and A/C.

About The Owner

I spent 34 wonderful years exploring the world as a Flight Attendant and Purser for TWA and American Airlines. That being said, I know all too well the benefits and pitfalls of staying in high end (or not) hotel chains. Almost without exception, my best stays ever were in the company of the locals I met along the way. Living just up the street I can truly say that we have great 'locals' here who would be more than happy to point you in any direction you might like to explore in Central Tampa.

The Owner purchased this house in 2004

Why The Owner chose Tampa

We bought this home from an elderly friend of ours when she went into an Assisted Living Facility. After years of visiting and helping her out with maintenance and repairs, we came to know and appreciate every inch of the house, and knew we had to have it. My own home is just up the street.

What makes this house unique

Quick and easy access to everything, while staying in a peaceful and charming neighborhood.

Adored the home and neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We were new to Tampa and needed a place to stay while waiting to move in to our home. We were so lucky to find this vacation rental! Great space, beautifully decorated, well-stocked kitchen (pots/pans, dishes, etc.), fenced-in back yard, garage, washer/dryer... everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Also, from this home we had easy access to local parks/playgrounds, downtown Tampa, the bike/walking path along the river (we rode bikes there) and Ybor City. And Jim was great -- very helpful and communicated quickly with us when I had any questions.

Wonderful rental

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful rental. Looks just like the photos. Centrally located, close to all attractions. Jim the owner was excellent and told us about sites we should consider seeing and recommended some great restaurants for us to try. There is a "welcome book" waiting for you that lists restaurants and local attractions, very helpful. If you choose this rental you will not be disappointed. Also it is very pet friendly!

This home was incredible!! We really loved it and felt so "at home", cozy, and comfortable! Jim was excellent and paid close attention to details. The home is located in a neighborhood away from noice and traffic. Jim has all the local sites and how to get there listed in his "Welcome Book". After we found our way around the city of Tampa, we were very pleased with the location. It was so very nice having our morning coffee on the beautiful deck just off the den french doors, nice dining area, great media system, very comfortable beds, very clean. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative.

LIVE LIKE A FLORIDIAN

  • 5 of 5

We were in Tampa for my son's graduation and it was in a perfect location for us. One needs a car to get around, but I found that this was the case in most places that I visited in the U.S. Having said that I used a Taxi once and found that quite reasonably priced.

The house is an absolutely charming and cosy dwelling. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. It seemed to be in a nice, quiet neighborhood amongst, I assume, Floridian owner/occupied homes. All the houses and gardens in that area appeared to be nicely cared for.

This house has been furnished to match the era of the house with the appliances and entertainment that we take for granted in this era. For us, there was nothing missing.

Jim, the owner was also very helpful. I would recommend this house to any of my friends and, if ever I should visit Tampa again I would like to stay in it.

For the last two days of my stay in Tampa I had booked into a 4 star hotel because the house had already been booked for those two dates. It was nice and even had a balcony but the charm, cosiness and price of the Riverside Heights home beat it hands down and by a country mile. The hotel was downtown and I still needed a car or taxi to get anywhere.

COMPLETELY SATISFIED Team of Professional Artists

  • 5 of 5

We are a team of visual artists who travel to various locations to render our creative talents on the walls of commercial stores or in the homes or estates of 'high profile' clients. Because our work is taxing and often done in new construction dust and dirt, instead of staying in several hotel rooms, we prefer to stay as a group in a comfortable dwelling, where we can cook our meals, eat at a dining table and relax after hours in 'the comforts of home.' This home could not have been better for us! It said "Welcome" from the moment we stepped inside. Music was playing on the TV and the owner sent a welcome message with the offer to be of help, should we need something. We had everything we needed and MORE! The quiet back yard - enclosed with privacy fence - made evening meals cozy and delightful when shared on the deck that is ambiently lighted by strands of small, overhead twinkle lights. The clean gas grill is in the garage. Having the convenience of our own washer and dryer (+ a table to fold on!) allowed us extra time to relax without going to the coin laundry. On the days that we could not begin working until late afternoon, we grabbed the beach chairs from the garage and beach towels from the linen closet and spent the mornings at Belleair Beach (a half-hour away). The house has good lighting and is tastefully appointed without the feeling of clutter. We found every necessity we needed to conduct day-to-day life - all in logical places. The neighborhood is a quiet, middle-class family-type neighborhood with people jogging, walking their dogs and pushiing strollers in the mornings and evenings. The instructions for the TV and electronics were written so well in the owner's 'notes to the renter', that I could actually maneuver the system without any glitches - even the DVD and surround sound! There is a perfect small desk to use for your laptop. The beds were comfy. But best of all, the home was clean and tidy. We will definitely stay here again, should the need ever arise and our team is small enough. We have stayed in many VRBO rental properties . . . I highly recommend this choice to a small group or family. [In my opinion . . . Jim, the owner of this property, could offer tips to other VRBO owners as to how to make their rental property comfortable and inviting for their renters.]
