The home, the setting and the ease of the process - was perfect! Candis and her family are easy to deal with and answered all our queries promptly. The home is spacious and was the ideal place for us to meet family members from around the world. We rented kayaks and paddle boards and spent a lot of time at the house, enjoying the beautiful pool, Jacuzzi, steam room & of course the ocean - where we would sea turtles swimming as we kayaked! If we are lucky enough to visit Hawaii again - we would definitely want to stay here.

This property is absolutely perfect - aside from no a/c - which even as Florida boys who rely on a/c to survive - we managed fine. It's simply magical. From the moment you walk through the front gate, you can feel the mana - it is quite strong.

We arrived late and were welcomed by the sound of the waves and the countless stars. When we awoke in the morning - it was a completely different world. There are gorgeous green mountains towards the front of the property and the stunning blue of the Pacific in the backyard. The inner courtyard was filled with beautiful flowers & trees and was alive with birds and lizards. Everywhere we looked, there was something new to see. The compound is totally private and the perfect place to escape. We didn't leave for the first 3 days.

We spent time in every area of the home - inside & out. The pool in the morning, followed by a dip in the ocean (via the private staircase directly in the backyard), followed by a nap on the huge indoor daybed, then lunch under the shade of the tiki hut, then a leisurely read in the hammock, back the pool, back to the ocean, dinner on the grill, wine on the comfy chaise while watching the stars and the occasional storm roll in.

The home opens completely and redefines indoor/outdoor living. The kitchen was fully stocked. There were plenty of towels and linens. The dining table is a massive work of art. The dual masters were great (both ensuite) and the guesthouse had 2 bedrooms with jack & jill bath. Ample parking in the driveway.

LaRay was great about arranging everything for our arrival. Candis was prompt at handling the initial booking and their Mom was the sweetest woman who stopped by as we were leaving to say goodbye. Fortunately she made it in time to enjoy a bloody mary with us before we actually left.

I really can't say enough about this home & its' hosts & am afraid to - as I'd like it to still be available to book again soon!

We loved our stay so much that we cancelled our trip to The Big Island and stayed an extra 4 nights.

The location is perfect - just at the end of the Lanikai Loop - and the gorgeous Lanikai Beach. It's a must more relaxed vibe on the Windward side - not the craziness of Waikiki (aka Town). Not even 5 minutes to Kailua Town (WholeFoods, R. Field Wine, Long's, The Food Company, Target). 10 minutes to Kaneohe. 20 minutes to airport/Waikiki. 30/40 minutes to Polynesian Cultural Center/North Shore.

Amazing Property!

  • 5 of 5

This property is amazing. A beautiful ocean view as far as you can see and a fabulous front yard with a pool and hot tub to wake up to each morning. The huge gazebo is perfect for eating and lounging about with a cocktail or two. The yard is lit up with pretty lights at night. It really is a great place to relax and enjoy! The home itself is very large with plenty of room and also very lovely. We had 5 adults and 2 children in our group. The kitchen has lots of room and there really is everything you need.

The owner was away when we were there, but her sister and mother were there to help us. They were very helpful and very nice ladies. We were sorry that we missed meeting Candis.

The town of Kailua is Avery short drive away, about 7minutes or so. They have several good stores to purchase your groceries etc. Lanakai Beach and Kailua Beach are both excellent beaches for families with young children. We had an amazing time staying here and would like to thank Candis for the use of her home. It really is a breathtaking view when you walk onto her property.

A Paradise Compound

  • 5 of 5

There were 6 of us - 3 married couples - and the space was more than plentiful. The design and location of the house was unreal, as we all walked through the gate our jaws dropped thinking "this is all ours for the week?!" My husband and I have been all over Oahu and this beach - Lanikai - is by far the most incredible beach we have seen of the Islands we have visited (Kauai, Maui and Oahu). Warm, crystal clear turquoise water, fine white sand and the house made it so that we had no reason to leave. Mornings would start with a quick steam in the steam room, immediately followed by a dip in the ocean then a nice breakfast in the front yard under the gorgeous Balinese wood carved terrace. We are a very active group and the options are unlimited with the private beach access. Make sure to paddle out to the Moku islands for the day and don't be surprised if you find sea turtles swimming under you! Shopping is a quick 10 minute drive into Kailua and if you are into hiking you can do the Pillbox hike that holds an incredible view, not too difficult either. The owner was very sweet, spunky and welcoming and had a folder with a variety of restaurant/activity recommendations. We made some unforgettable memories here and plan on returning. You'd be crazy not to stay here if you plan on staying on the East side, or even on the island in general!
