About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2)

AWAY FROM IT ALL is our spacious, yet cozy cabin with AMAZING MOUNTAIN VIEWS and it is perfect for that romantic getaway. Located less than 15 minutes from Gatlinburg and downtown Pigeon Forge and about 20 minutes from Sevierville, AWAY FROM IT ALL is close to all of the action but nestled just high enough on the mountain to enjoy the peace, serenity and natural beauty of the Smokies.

If shopping, entertainment and attractions are your fancy, you'll find plenty to do in and around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. If you're a nature lover and history buff, be sure to check out Cades Cove and Klingman's Dome. If you're just looking for some tranquility, you'll find it just relaxing at AWAY FROM IT ALL. Maybe you'll challenge each other to a game of pool and then relax in the jacuzzi while watching the fog change the landscape through the 21 foot wall of windows.

You might sip on hot chocolate while watching a movie by the fire. Or maybe you'll listen to the sound of the Dollywood train whistling in the breeze as you relax in the hot tub on the deck or snuggle close to each other in the rocker built for two as you watch the skyline change while the sun sets behind Bluff Mountain.

Why is it that this cabin rents over 300 days a year ? Is it the wonderful mountain and valley views? Is it being located so close to all the attractions, yet far enough away that you feel ' away from it all' ? Maybe it's the cozy , comfortable living room with gas fireplace. It could be the many ways to access Pigeon Forge and downtown Gatlinburg while avoiding the crowded parkway. You decide which is best for your vacation, away from it all.

Whether you're looking for great hiking, fishing, shopping, shows and thrills or a more tranquil lifestyle, AWAY FROM IT ALL is the place for you.

About The Owner

We are the busy parents of 5 children and grandparents of 5 beautiful granddaughters and 2 handsome grandsons. Our lives are hectic between the demands of our jobs and keeping up with our family.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2010

Why The Owner chose East

We purchased AWAY FROM IT ALL with retirement in our near future. We honeymooned in the Smokies and we love going to the mountains to get away from our busy lives and to just relax. The first time we saw AWAY FROM IT ALL, we fell in love with it's beauty and charm and we hope you will, too.

What makes this cabin unique

We love everything about the Smokies but what we like most is relaxing on our deck watching the landscape change as the 'smoke' rolls in and out of the valleys. It never gets dull. We have seen the most spectacular sunsets from right there in that rocker. AWAY FROM IT ALL is the perfect place to recharge our batteries before getting back to the real world.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We got married in February and never got a chance to take a honeymoon-until now. My husband was set on getting a cabin with a view. Glad I lisetened to him for once because your cabin surpassed both of our expectations grealty! LOVED that this is the last cabin on the road. Everything about your cabin is absolutely perfect...... keep up the great work! Thanks for allowing us to use your second home :-)

Exactly what I wanted

  • 5 of 5

The balcony was my favorite thing about this cabin. It has an unobstructed soul-healing view of the visible horizon. It faces west so we were able to watch the sun go down behind the mountains! The night time view was my favorite; we sat in the hot tub for nearly 5 hours our first night and just watched the stars. Once you're off the main roads the path up the mountain can be a bit treacherous in some places. If you have a small but strong-running car it will be to your advantage. I enjoy using my car to climb mountains so it was fun overall. I will never forget this place and look forward to coming back someday. :)

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the tranquility of the view is amazing and the #1 reason we love Away From it All. The roads up to the top (where the great views are) are not super highways, but are black topped 2 lane roads. We hope to have you stay with us again, and be able to add to your enjoyable memories.

Amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was comfortable and very clean. The views were absolutely amazing. You could go in the cabin and fix something to eat (which was very convenient by the way) and walk past the windows going to the table and think, "WOW!".......It kind of catches you off guard how far you can see. We really liked the access to so many different parts of the parkway without having to actually travel the full length with all the traffic. The hot tub on the deck was very relaxing and the perfect spot to watch the sunset behind the mountains. Loved EVERY minute, till time to leave. We will be back. Thanks for sharing your place in the Smokies. p.s. Loved the wide screen and surround sound.
