About Anne Wachler, R, PB

Van and I are retired and live in Oklahoma, but we consider Kauai our second home. We both have the 'travel bug' and have been to many places, but none are as special to us as the Garden Island. Van's favorite island activities are fishing off the rocks in front of our condo, and boogie boarding at the nearby beaches. I love to dip my toes in the ocean, then sit back, relax, and read a book under a shady palm tree. We also like to shop the local farmers markets for fresh fruits, veggies, and tropical flowers (you can get a beautiful bouquet for just a few dollars!). For more than 30 years we've shared our lovely retreat with our family and friends. We hope you will appreciate our condo and the beautiful island of Kauai as much as we do!

Why Anne Wachler, R, PB chose Poipu

Poipu is our favorite place to stay on Kauai. The resort town is situated on the sunny south shore of the island and we think Poipu has the best weather on the island. Our condo is built into a cliff and overlooks the blue-green waters of the Pacific Ocean. A family of giant sea turtles can usually be found feeding off the rocks just below our pool/sundeck. During migration season, whales swim across the horizon. We've also seen spinner dolphins while sitting out on our lanai. We also look forward to the calming sound of the waves crashing against the cliff below. Poipu Palms is conveniently located close to beaches (Poipu Beach Park, Brennecke and Shipwreck Beaches), golfing (Poipu Bay and Kiahuna Golf Courses), fine dining (we love the local charm of the restaurants in Old Koloa Town and the champagne brunch at the Hyatt), and shopping (the quaint shops of Old Koloa Town and finer stores at Kukui'ula Shopping Village and Poipu Shopping Village). But while we are so close to exceptional tourist destinations, Poipu Palms is removed from the hustle and bustle. It is set in a quiet, tranquil location and is ideal for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. We look forward to sharing our favorite retreat with you and hope you have a wonderful, memorable stay!

Incredibly unique with everything you need during your stay

There are so many wonderful brings to say about this little gem. I will do my best to cover all of them.

Location. This condo has incredible views. If you are one who enjoys the sound of the ocean and the sea breeze this is the epitome of these two elements. The view I can describe as being on the deck of an oceanliner without any if the movement. Exquisite!

The walk to the Brennicks Beach is a 10 minute walk at best and can be a little challenging with beach chairs, ice chests etc. However, completely doable.

The unit is elevated and also is a corner unit so all the windows can remain open during your stay allowing for some magnificent ocean breeze and air circulation. Great for sleeping.

The unit is a little out dated but very comfortable for the price. It is equipped with everything you will need to cook, BBQ, beach towels, ice chest, beach chairs, playpen for the baby and noodles and boards. The only thing not available is a food processor, however, everything else is there.

The swimming pool and beautiful decks are perfect. The pool is directly in front of this unit and during our stays (2) it was never an issue. Always quiet. The BBQ is well stocked and we put it to good use, take a flashlight with you from the pantry if after sunset it can be a little difficult to see at the BBQ but is well lite on all decks and walking paths.

Parking isn't an issue, nor is any noise issue as the parking is on the other side of the building. This unit is perfectly situated.

Internet wifi probably should be updated although it works it is painfully slow. Cell phone coverage is at about two bars with Verizon. Phone calls often drop, however, texts work fine.

Love this unit it has so many qualities for the price.

Location Location !!!

We stayed in unit 104 and found the view to be spectacular. The unit is spacious, clean and quiet. The cupboards are well stocked and it feels like home away from home. It has all the amenities and is very relaxing. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. It is everything the listing said and we would recommend this to anyone.

Sit, relax and do nothing!! Read books on the lanai. Sunbathe by the pool. Watch turtles from the pool deck. BBQ while you watch the waves roll in. Watch the colorful sunsets over the ocean.
