Just east of the Shaw Conference Centre by little over a block is a gem of a building with such a great view of the actual North Saskatchewan River and downtown that is called The View. It is 4 minutes from the Hotel MacDonald, 3 minutes from the Arts District (City Hall/Winspear/Citadel/Art Gallery/Royal Alberta Museum) and 2 minutes from Telus Plaza. You can get to the University of Alberta/Children's Stollery Hospitals and Commonwealth Stadium within 9 minutes. Northlands Agricom is 7 minutes away.
The condo is conveniently located downtown and yet it is submersed in in the beauty of the river valley, in one of the most attractive parts of the city. The view from the condo speaks for itself. Overlooking Louise McKinney Park, the Edmonton Queen, the site of the Dragon Boat Festival and more, it is the place to be. Guests regularly say that the photos do not do the property justice. The property and the view is more stunning in person.
The spacious 1220 sq. ft. air conditioned apartment style condo with outside access and natural lighting on opposite ends and a 10 foot ceiling was professionally designed with upgrades to the architectural lighting, hardwood flooring, granite countertops throughout, custom cabinetry, efficient bathroom layout, a versatile desk to do work, study or computing on, an extra large kitchen island, under counter lighting, a dishdrawer, an espresso & cappuccino maker, multi-speed stove fan, tiling that feels wonderful, a steam-rain-massage shower with thermostatic control, therapeutic bath with chromotherapy and more. Kids (of all ages mind you) enjoy having a frothy bubble bath.
The condo has structured wiring throughout in addition to wireless N. The living room has a large widescreen HDTV with HD and 24 hour music satellite channels and leather furniture. The entertainment system includes internet access. The phone system allows for free calling in Canada and U.S.
There is a lot of versatility. In all the closets, the storage system is adjustable and has been upgraded for maximum usability. The kitchen table is expandable and some people prefer relocate it from the dining area to the living room so they can enjoy the view while they dine. A comfortable and seamless pillowtop king size bed can be converted into 2 XL twin beds. A UHD 4K TV has internet access with Roku and local or mirrored programming. There are two sofas in the living room, one being a sofabed. An indoor tree year round serves well as a Christmas tree in December.
All utilities are included. Outside maintenance is taken care of: There is no snow to shovel, grass to mow or water. There is no need to be bothered with the garbage collection schedule.
Included is one heated underground parking stall. Extra parking can be found on the street and there are visitor parking stalls.
A children's park, outdoor rink and community hall is a 5 minute walk away. A Catholic church is across the street and Russian Orthodox Church about a block away. As fun and busy is the community around the condo, the unit is intended for rest and relaxation.

Edmonton ranks among list of world's best trips for Summer 2015 according to National Geographic.
Called the River of Green, Edmonton's River Valley constitutes the longest stretch of connected urban parkland in N. America. The river valley is 22 times larger than New York City's Central Park. Athletes and those who attempt to be take advantage of the valley to run, jog, walk, hike, cycle, rollerblade through the paved and unpaved paths. You can even take a guided Segway tour through the river valley year round, the only way you can travel on a Segway publicly outdoors in Edmonton and the first on public land in Canada. It starts and ends at Louise McKinney Park 4 times a day and runs 3 seasons a year for groups as small as 2 and even single riders if you ask. They also rent bikes. A cafe below the condo near the river offers bottled drinks, gelato, bike and sports equipment rentals. In the river valley and downtown, festivals and other activities are abundant during the summer. Do Tai Chi in the Chinese Garden or yoga in the park below the condo. View the peonies. There is easy access right down to the river's edge using the freshly cut lawn and paved walkways and/or stairs. In 2017, take the funicular nearby to get into or out of the River Valley barrier free.
You can watch the River Boat Queen launch in the river or watch the Dragon Boat racers practice throughout the summer in the river and even the race itself from start to finish. Other sightings are power boats, jet skis, canoes, and the silly Sourdough Raft Race. Often you can see fireworks from Telus Field, always from Capital Ex and practically all the others throughout Edmonton on Canada Day from the condo. You can see the forest from the trees when it comes to the view of downtown from the condo.
Walking distance just blocks blocks away and seen from the condo is a ski hill for skiing and tobogganing. Next to the Muttart Conservatory for botanical lovers. the ski hill is also home to the renowned Edmonton Folk Festival. All of this including concerts, the Dragon Boat Races and the Chinese Garden can be seen from the condo. Riverside and Victoria Golf Courses are 1.4 and 3.2kms away respectively.
Downtown buildings and Chinatown are a short walk away. Get your fresh groceries at an ethnic supermarket 2 blocks away. One of Edmonton's top restaurants, Hardware Grill, is only 3 blocks away. There is always something to see and do at Churchill Square 5 blocks away.
Bus stops next block over where buses head off in all directions includes one route that leads to West Edmonton Mall (WEM) without transferring. Those driving to WEM get to enjoy 2 of the most pleasurable roads in the city, River Valley Road and Groat Road. A two block walk gets you to Canada Place where you can enter the 13 kilometre (8.1 mi) year-round climate-controlled underground tunnels and walkways between more than 40 buildings and parkades and three of the five Edmonton Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations in the downtown area. The LRT can whisk you to the University of Alberta, NE and south Edmonton. 3 blocks away is the Welcome Centre where you can use the Greyhound shuttle service to get to their main station.

About: We are a long time Edmonton family managing a number of family owned rental properties in Edmonton and Banff. We enjoy our encounters with our renters' desire that they have a pleasurable stay.
Why North Central Edmonton, Edmonton, AB, Canada:
We love the central location and ease of access to much of what Edmonton has to offer. It was was built for our own use so it has many upgrades over above other condo units making it ideal for executives. It is a place unlike any other in the city.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Unlike other apartment style properties, natural light beams through opposite ends of the condo that is especially important in Alberta's winters. This unit is very close to the nicer (glass) of two elevators and has a semi-private entrance. The utility room which includes a personal use washer and dryer is uniquely attached internally to the condo unit. The balcony extends far out to the river valley edge providing a panoramic view of the river, Louise McKinney activities, the arterial roads and downtown. In fact you can see 5 bridges at once.
