Luxury condo located in exclusive Channelside, this condo is in the perfect location within walking distance to some of the best restaurants, dance clubs, the cruise ship harbor, and entertainment venues.

This condo has been lightly used as a corporate retreat during football and baseball seasons. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with KitchenAid stainless appliances, granite counter-top, hardwood floors. Professional decorator.

Master bedroom has a new queen sized bed with new linens, and a spacious walk-in closet. The huge bath has a tiled shower and garden tub.

Condo rental amenities: It has an open floor plan, lots of Florida sunshine and a great garden view, bar stools and a high top table for entertaining, an entertainment bar area for larger gatherings near the pool (which is on the same level as the condo). The living room looks out to a private garden area and patio. He asks that all smoking be limited to the patio area.

Special notebooks filled with restaurant names, entertainment recommendations, and maps are on the baker's rack make your stay in Tampa more enjoyable. The owner will meet you personally to insure that your stay is comfortable.

Our stay was OK

Our 1 month stay was alright once we got the internet the AC and garage door opener to work (2-3 days). Beverly was very helpful by phone. Pool, hot tub, sauna, and gym only steps away. The apartment is a decent size for two people but could use a deep cleaning. Stan cleans it himself. Many cleaning supplies were available. We did clean it upon leaving by dusting, clean linens and towels in an attempt to get our $100. cleaning fee back but haven't received it yet. Doubt that we will. Furniture is a bit bulky and worn. We only had one key and building key which was VERY inconvenient when we wanted to do something separate and get back into our place. The rent is high compared to others I researched once I got there.

Owner's Response: Yes, the living room furniture is "bulky" as both coach and chair are real leather and have a "club look" that the owner who is a sports enthusiast enjoys. Kind of like kids who buy blue jeans with the knees ripped out because that is the stye, the leather sofa looks aged but is only a few years old, and is comfortable. The coffee table is a very expensive map chest. We have never had complains about the decor. This comment you made about Stan cleaning himself is true. After every guest leaves he makes sure the apartment is just the way he would leave it for himself. Spotless. Sorry you were disappointed.

Our Stay

This was a decent condo to stay for one month after some wrinkles were ironed out. We had problems with the internet for the first 2 days. garage gate, and the AC quit for a few days. Once we were able to reach Stan or Beverly we got some problems resolved. The pool, gym, and sauna were great and only steps from the condo. The convention Center and Aquarium were within walking distance. The area was extremely pet friendly and it was normal to see pets at outside bars and restaurants. The condo itself could use a deep cleaning and polish. There was an option to clean the place yourself when you leave and save $100. which I did. Everything was clean, polished and towels, sheets, and bed was made before we left. I haven't gotten a refund yet. The one inconvenience that we did have was that there was only one key and one bab to let you into the building, and my husband and I do different things. It was difficult coming home at different times and getting into our place.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry that you experienced any inconvenience. The clicker for the garage gate was an unusual experience and took a day to figure out but there was parking available outside the gate. Unfortunately, previous guests have left with our spare keys and as the keys are special to the building it is not as simple as getting a key made at Home Depot or Ace Hardware. The fobs also have been replaced. I am disappointed that the cleaning was not up to your standards. We will do a better job of finding those pesky dust bunnies!

Great location but disappointed

This condo is in a good location in Tampa with a great urban grocery and a wonderful coffee shop in the same block. The complex is nice, people were friendly, lots of dogs! Within walking distance to downtown, which was a plus. Owner was very nice but is difficult to reach. Our flights were delayed so we were not able to meet him in person but he did arrange to leave keys and we found our way, a bit challenging without details. When we arrived, found the basics of the condo clean but in need of a thorough cleaning, heavy dust everywhere and some of the furniture was bady worn/torn. Also, found the wifi was not working and after many phone calls, found out there was a new service provider and owner hadn't set it up prior to our arrival. Owner did try to resolve but wasn't physically located in the same city so it did not get resolved all week. This was very unfortunate since we expected to work from the apartment during the week. Owner mentioned he would provide a small refund to us for inconvenience, haven't received yet. Overall, it worked but was disappointing, and sad because it has great potential!

Nice building location and biking area

The building and location was great but unfortuantly not a well maintained unit. . We brought our bikes because it is a great biking area, but the landlord would not provide keys for us to access the bike storage area or the front door of the building, so we always had to enter and exit the building through the garage. The unit was not ready the day we were scheduled to arrive, was not clean, so we had to find a hotel room the first night, and was not reimbursed for the missed night or hotel room as we were promised. The dead bolt on the front door to the unit was broken, the sliding glass door could not be locked, and the fire alarm was disabled. All a safety concern for us, but the landlord refused to fix these issues during our 30 day stay. We were provided with only one set of keys, the TV in the bedroom did not work, and needed to clean the unit ourselves. A good place to stay if only for one or two nights, I would not recommend it for longer stays.

Owner's Response: Obviously, I apologize for any inconvenience that our guests experience. If only a simple apology would have made these renters happy I would have done so. Many of their requests/demands and subsequent complaints were not within my ability to grant or change. The “bike storage area” is full, and not accessible to any tenant without an annual permit. Guests can easily secure their bikes in the allocated space where they park their car. This is a very secure area behind a locked garage door. I am sorry that this was not an acceptable solution. The renters complain I would not provide them with a (building) front door key and they “always had to enter and exit the building through the garage.” The 12th Street door is accessed by dialing a call button to each unit owner. In my case this would mean guests would call my cell phone to reenter the building. I would remotely buzz them in. This is not a penalty I inflict, but rather part of the security of the building. Everyone, myself included, reenters the building through the garage elevator glass lobby entrance without inconvenience or complaints. It is just easier than waiting to be buzzed in. The complaint regarding the fire alarm and safety: there are two fire alarm/smoke detectors in the unit. The smoke detector closest to the entry needed a new battery and was “chirping.” It was turned off. The other smoke detector located near the kitchen was working. The maintenance staff was told one smoke detector needed a new battery. Unfortunately, it was true the unit wasn’t serviced the first day -- an oversight by the cleaning service (Christmas week). The renters were offered the option of waiting three hours and going to dinner, or spending the night at a hotel. It was their choice was to go to a hotel. I said I would reimburse this after check-out. “The Place” is my second home and I keep personal sports memorabilia in it for my guests to enjoy. Previous guests have treated the unit as if it were their second homes. When these renters left it required an industrial cleaning service, two persons and six hours to clean. “Sticky notes” referencing their clients or to-do work orders were tacked to the dining room wall, piles of work papers were left shredded, and garbage was left in the apartment. Spaghetti/red sauce had exploded in the microwave and crusted on the stove and kitchen walls. Space does not permit further details. Happily, however, the entry and patio window-wall door locks are not broken.

Prime location

Perfect 1/1 with all the amenities. Pool, gym facilities, central location. Pet friendly condo in pet friendly area with well kept sidewalks and dog areas. Dog park just across street. Lots of charming coffee/tea shops nearby and Channelside shops in walking distance. Condo is well maintained with all amenities. Fullsize washer and dryer in unit - a plus! Clean condo, accurately described. Stan and Beverly are easy to catch via phone or email with questions.
