About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This house is a newer construction located minutes from the Biltmore Estate. Walk to the Biltmore Village and find unique stores, boutiques and many restaurants in the area including Corner Kitchen, Red Stagg Grill, Moe's Original Barbeque, Rezaz, Fig, Cantina, Wayside Grille, Ruth Chris Steak House, TGIFriday, Texas Roadhouse, Brueggers Bagels and Starbucks.

We are in a neighborhood on the edge of Biltmore Village and our location provides easy access to all Asheville has to offer. You won't want to miss a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and all it's beauty and maybe a day trip to Brevard to see all the amazing waterfalls. Chimney Rock and Grandfather Mountain are nice daytrips also. Too many things to enjoy here in Western North Carolina to list them all. Come see for yourself.

The house is completely furnished, with cooking utensils and linens. There are televisions in two bedrooms and the main living area. Kitchen, living room, dining area and master bedroom are all located on the main floor. There is also a half bath and laundry room off the kitchen .The master suite with a queen bed and private bath is on the main level, the other 2 bedrooms, with queen beds, are on the top floor and share a full bath. Nice size porch for enjoying the birds and mountain air.

The basement level is a separate apartment where our youngest daughter lives. It is completely sealed off from the upper part of the house.

Couldn't have been better!

  • 5 of 5

The location is so perfect for everything! Shopping at the Biltmore Village was 1 block away and loads of fun. The Well Bred Bakery and Cafe was a regular stop each day. Fantastic! Biltmore Estate entrance was less than a mile. Could not have made a better choice.

The house is so clean and well stocked we thought we were the first to rent it. Thick towels and wonderful sheets made you feel like home. So glad we chose Jim and Teri's rental. They were so friendly and available right next door if we needed anything. A definite winner!

clean, well appointed, everythIng you need

  • 4 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was there. So nice we didn't have to provide the essentials. Very comfortable, felt like home. It was in a great location! We loved watching all the animals outside! Only cons would be that the mattresses were a little firm for our taste (nothin a mattress topper couldn't fix) and perhaps on more chair in the living room. One person was always sitting on the floor. We would definitely return.

Beautiful house!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Jim and Teri's house along with our two adult daughters, their mates and our 7 month old grandaughter. It looks brand new, is immaculately clean and well appointed. It was perfect for us and Teri was very flexible and accommodating. Although we brought our own there was even a playpen and high chair in the closet! It is a short walk to lots of great restaurants and shopping and if you want to visit the Biltmore house.....this is the place to stay!

Wonderful - except for NOISY construction!

  • 3 of 5

This is a difficult review to write, since we really liked this property but cannot give it 5 stars. Everything about the house was as advertised - it is still "like new", looks just like the photos and is very well-equipped and super clean. The location is also wonderful, being so close to the Biltmore estate and walking distance to the shops and restaurants at Biltmore village. The big problem is that there is a large building being built directly across the road from this property and the construction noise is quite loud. Each morning of our stay except Sunday (unfortunately including Saturday) everyone was wakened at 7 am by the loud beeping of a machine. It was impossible to sleep after that and this noise continued intermittently throughout the day. I would have rated this property higher if the owners would have warned us of the construction project in advance and had given us a discount and an opportunity to decide if we still wanted to stay there despite the noise. The 3 star rating is because we received no advance warning, just an apology afterwards. In the apology the owner states that it 'has been hit or miss with noisy days, until the past 3 weeks when they started using that one piece of equipment. We had hoped to have the issue resolved as the city is looking into implementing a new ordinance requiring them to use "white alarms".'

So I would warn people who are considering staying at this property to check with the owners regarding the status of the construction noise prior to booking a stay here. I would definitely rate this property 5 stars without the construction problem.

Great House!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our stay. Walking distance to the Biltmore Village, clean and updated with enough room. Although we were out and about majority of our stay i was impressed with the house and return without second thought. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to stay.

Great weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Jim and Teri's place for a weekend tennis tournament with a couple of teammates. It was perfect for us -- immaculately clean, plenty of room for all of us (there were 5/6 in our party), lots of parking and very conveniently located. The house was very true to the listing -- no surprises. We met Jim when we arrived and he was very welcoming. They live next door so are there if needed but never imposing. I would definitely recommend this property when visiting Asheville -- it's a great place and a great price!
