Excellent house for groups

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 10 stay here for Thanksgiving. Wow - we were impressed - it is a beautiful home!! It truly feels like a retreat, with gorgeous woods surrounding you, an incredible hot tub on the deck (with an awesome view), and a lovely fireplace. Location was convenient to Seattle, 10 minutes off I-5. Several of our group went on day-long hikes in the area, while others stayed at the house - it worked well for everyone's needs. Kara, the property manager, was very responsive, helpful, and thorough - a pleasure to work with. We would love to come back another year!

Beautiful house nestled in 4 acres of green forest

  • 5 of 5

Cedar Tree House was perfect for our family reunion last July. The house is beautifully designed and tastefully decorated with lovely thematic bedrooms. The kitchen and dining area modern and up-to-date with appliances and supplies for cooking and eating. The living room is very cozy and was a wonderful gathering place for our family. The grandchildren enjoyed putting on a play on the outdoor stage, and the yurt was the great perfect location for quiet times and family games. The expansive yard, which includes a stream, is beautiful a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the world even though we were conveniently located not far from shopping. Our location was perfect as a starting place for day outings to Bellingham, the San Juan Islands, Mount Baker, and Vancouver. I love how the many windows bring the beauty of the green landscape inside Cedar Tree House.

Fantastic space, great location, really nice hosts

  • 5 of 5

Basically everything we could've hoped for -- the house is well laid out and well taken care of, it was perfectly comfortable even with a really large group of 24, the hot tub and the fire pit and the yurt were all terrific, it's really easy to reach from town, and the hosts were super easy to work with.

Wedding Rehearsal dinner

  • 5 of 5

The cedar tree house is as advertised. It is Clean, well equipped, appropriate for group gatherings. Kara was very responsive and pleasant to work with. Great hot tub, secluded property, and an overall good retreat. I used the property to host a backyard BBQ style rehearsal dinner for 32 people. The plan was to set up my own tables in the yard, but due to rain, we were able to move them into the Yurt and stay dry. Many Thanks to Kara for letting me rent the space to accommodate all my guests.

A great spot for a larger group!

  • 4 of 5

We are a dozen guys who like to spend the week golfing, eating, drinking great wine and playing some poker. This rental worked very well: lots of beds with excellent mattresses, a very well-equipped kitchen, and a large table that accommodates everyone. The hot tub is a welcome bonus, and there is ample parking. The only drawback is the absence of a lake or swimming hole, a feature that some previous rentals offered, but I guess no place is perfect. Overall, this is a very good place for larger groups, offering lots of shade and privacy. We will likely return next year.

Wonderful place for retreats and reunions

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Cedar Tree house for a family reunion of 14 people and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The house, the grounds, the gazebo, the surrounding environment and the hosts were spot on. It was a nice respite from the everyday grind. I look forward to returning in the future!
