About Lori Primasing

Mike and I have loved this 2nd home and all time spent in it. Our two boys have grown to love the summer as much as the winter with all that the locale has to offer. We have been married for 22 years and spend our time in the Bay Area, Tahoe and the East Coast, where I am from. Mike works in the bond / securities industry and is a graduate of Chico University with an MBA from St. Mary's. I am now retired, raising our 2 boys and attended Villanova University before moving to California in 1987.

Lori Primasing purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Lori Primasing chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

We love all the amenities of Tahoe Donner, the proximity to the Freeway and the distance from our primary residence. Avid skiers, golfers and outdoorsmen, we love the mountain life and the change of pace from the Bay ARea. Donner is just 2 1/2 hours from home and offers so much as a community. The value was also good, in our opinion.

What makes this cabin unique

This home is well located in lower Tahoe Donner, which is more accessible to Truckee and the downtown area. It is also located close to both the rec center, golf course (TD and Coyote Moon) and the dining facilities of Tahoe Donner. The privacy of a home backing to a greenbelt is something we value greatly. We have wonderful neighbors on one side and a vacant lot on the other....great Privacy all around. At only 8 years old, the home is also in great condition with more modern amenities throughout. It is beautifully decorated with no details left undone.

great mountain house

  • 5 of 5

A lovely home, big enough for our whole family of 3 daughters and 4 grandkids. And my brother came from Idaho after kids left, all good for whole family. Wonderful master bedroom with jet tub (which the 4 granddaughters loved). Great kitchen fully equipped. Me and my daughters all love to cook. Great location and quiet street with very peaceful sleeping. Great hiking on DonnerLake nearby. Loved this home. Great deck and BBQ on the forest and fire pit great for grandkids making s'mores.

Wonderful Tahoe Retreat

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we entered the front door, it was clear that the owners of this lovely home had created a magical retreat not only for themselves, but for others to enjoy - from the original artwork, to the tastefully warm, but family-friendly furnishings, to the grand stone fireplace, spacious living area and kitchen. Our stay was in July, and we enjoyed a magnificent paddle board adventure on Donner Lake - just minutes from the cabin (paddle boards are available for rent at the water's edge). We hiked at Emerald Bay (on Lake Tahoe) and shopped and dined in nearby Truckee. But the cabin provides plenty to do and enjoy without getting in your car - cooking in the well-appointed and provisioned kitchen, walking, hiking, playing horseshoes or corn hole on the expansive back lawn, visiting around the outdoor firepit, playing ping-pong, or shuffle board. Memories will be made here!

Family Ski Week

  • 5 of 5

We love staying at this property. The home is perfect for two families or even more. The downstairs bedroom with the four single beds is awesome for kids. It also gives the kids a separate space to get away to so that the adults can relax and hang out in the kitchen or the den. We love to cook and the house is very well appointed with everything you would expect in a gourmet kitchen. It's very convenient to Truckee where all the best restaurants are located. If you are there when there is no snow on the ground the back yard is great as well. We also made use of the gym in the Tahoe Donner community center. All in all one of our favorite rentals of all time.

Already talking about our next visit

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a wonderfully relaxing vacation at this house to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The property was really lovely; with attention to detail in every aspect. The home is a perfect mountain retreat. Our party had 6 adults and a 6-year old child, and we all enjoyed staying at the house.

The home is beautifully decorated, very clean, and extremely comfortable; from the furniture and beds to the linens. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in as it was stocked with everything we could want or need. We enjoyed using the deck and BBQ, as well as the cozy fire pit in the backyard. The house is in a quiet neighborhood but has easy access to downtown Truckee.

We have rented multiple homes in the Tahoe area in summer and winter and this is by far the nicest and most comfortable property we have stayed at. The owners were prompt in their communication and a pleasure to interact with. We look forward to another stay!

Dream Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family recently had the opportunity to stay in this lovely home to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. We couldn't have wished for nicer accommodations! Upon arrival we were in awe of the detail in this beautiful home. Each bedroom's decor is warm and inviting and the linens are exceptional. The twin bed room has ample space and gives the kids their own "Hangout". The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cookware and glassware to entertain a large group. The addition of the gas fire pit in the backyard gave us a place to congregate at night with a glass of wine and unwind from the day’s activities.

The home is very clean, updated and the location is great with easy access to the Truckee area. The owners are extremely caring and make every effort to ensure that your visit meets your expectations. We will definitely stay here again.

We were awestruck by this magnificent home as we arrived. Inside was even nicer and so delightful.

  • 5 of 5

We were so blessed to have a week at this lovely, warm, clean, up to date home. Our family all joined us from Thursday to Sunday and that part was even better. All (five adults and five grandchildren) had a place to sleep comfortably and with a great bathrooms to use. The adult girls were so intrigued with the decorations which to us were out of a magazine. The area was grand and the weather was terrific, despite the fires not so far away. We rafted, ate out, ate in, went to the beach, went on rides, and more. We played games in the house, watched two movies, and had a little kid performance. Plenty of room and plenty to do for a family.
