- – The Island 40 when moored is “off the grid” and renters should be aware of and practice normal methods of conservation when using water and electricity. Members of your party will be given a briefing on dinghy operation and 'Tessie Ann' systems and a systems manual will be aboard. The Island 40 can be moved to a slip at additional costs should renter need access to full 115V, 15 amp electrical service. The refrigerator, stove and heating system are powered by propane. A large battery bank and a solar panel provide 12V, and an inverter will provide limited 115v power. You'll need shore power to operate the air conditioning system....moreless
