WHY SETTLE FOR A CONDO OR A HOTEL ROOM IN THE LANDMARK HISTORIC DISTRICT WHEN YOU CAN HAVE YOUR OWN HOUSE WITH A PRIVATE COURTYARD FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE, OR OFTEN EVEN LESS!!!

This unique and one of a kind house was featured on the HGTV and GAC shows 'You Live in What?' in 2015. It was built in 1861, originally as a residence, with wood siding and the entrance facing Jones Street. Around the turn of the century, it was converted to a grocery store, stuccoed, and the front door was moved to the corner, like many of the businesses in the Landmark Historic District. It remained a grocery until 1980 and then was converted back to a residence, although the door remained at its present location on the corner.

The house is located on Jones Street, which is reputed to be the most beautiful street in Savannah. You are within walking distance of everything in the Landmark Historic District, and only blocks from Clary's, Mrs. Wilke's Dining Room, the Firefly Cafe, and the Mercer House. River Street, Broughton Street, and Forsyth Park are all within walking distance through the beautiful squares of Savannah.

The house is very open and surprisingly spacious inside, with a very large modern kitchen, which is open to the living and dining area. Be a couch potato, while watching the wall mounted 42 inch flat screen TV. Or enjoy your favorite program or movie while preparing a meal in the totally renovated kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and has brand new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.

The bedroom is separated from the living area by sliding glass panels. The bathroom is large and has a jetted shower.

Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine in your cozy private landscaped courtyard.

This house is very comfortable for one or two adults, and up to two younger children, or three adults only. It is not suitable for two couples. If your group consists of two couples, I would suggest booking a property that has two bedrooms.

This house is pet friendly for an additional fee. However, due to insurance restrictions, certain breeds of dogs, any dog whose lineage contains a part of that breed, or any dog with a previous bite or attack history, are not allowed on the premises. The following dog breeds are named, but not limited to:

American Pit Bull

Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Rottweiler

Doberman Pinscher

Chows

Keywords: Unique house, fully equipped, with open floor plan and cute courtyard

Great modern interior and location!

  • 5 of 5

This was our favorite stay during our 14-state road-trip, which included many rentals across much of the South-East. Its in a great location that allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to see. The whole area is full of amazing history and greenery (when things have been brown for months, back home). The property was super-clean and was totally our style - modern, open, and inviting. Betty goes out of her way to communicate and ensure we had everything we needed. Being able to accommodate our well-behaved furbabies (dogs) was a must and it worked out great for them, too. We wished we would have been able to stay for more days. We will go out of our way to find a way to stay here again, the next time we make it to the South-East. Highly-recommend!

Long Relaxing "Halloween" Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the property mid afternoon after a long drive. We were welcomed at the door by the Owner Betty, she was very nice, showed us around and answered any questions we had.

The house is so beautiful and actually exceeded our expectations! It looks great in the photo's and that much better in person! and the history of the property is very interesting.

The home is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with just about everything you need for a short or long stay; including washer & dryer!

We stayed 2 nights and really felt at home and very comfortable.

The courtyard is a nice place to relax with a cold drink or coffee and was very private. Plenty of room indoors for a small family or couple.....and pet friendly too! We had our little Chihuahua with us and it was perfect!

Location is Great!!!....and easy parking on the street outside! It's on one of the most beautiful streets in Savannah, Jones Street! The house is very close to all the restaurants and shops in the Historic District, so a short 10 or so minute relaxing walk puts you right where you want to be & the walk along Jones St is just beautiful!

We will definitely be going back to Savannah again soon and we would love to stay at 502 Jones St again!

We highly recommend this property!

Thank you Betty for helping make our stay in Savannah wonderful!

Great property, great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous stay at Betty's Place! She was very helpful and organized. The binder she provided with a map, restaurant recommendations and menus was very Helpful! The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was very comfortable, loved having the private courtyard. Easy walking distance to everything in Savannah or a quick pedicab ride if you're tired of walking 😀򐀠We would recommend Smith Brothers butcher shop for a great assortment of wine, beer, charcuterie, cheeses and bread, it is just a couple of blocks down Price St. At Liberty. We discovered it on our Taste of Savannah food tour which we would also recommend to discover some of the hidden gem Eateries! Overall a fabulous Trip!

Perfect studio, conveniently located!

  • 5 of 5

This house is located on a beautiful street in downtown Savannah! It was the perfect size for our family and we were able to walk everywhere, even with two small children in tow. Betty was so kind and very prompt in getting any and all details to us regarding the rental. I would recommend this house to any family of 4 or less, looking to visit Savannah!
