Great neighborhood in a fantastic location, between two of the world's best surf breaks!
Peacefulness, quiet, and a long stretch of beach that is virtually your own!
I have made many trips to the Caribbean at hotels, all-inclusive and by cruise ships. I wanted to try a a beach rental and the Pacific. This place was perfect! We stayed at Rick and Tara's place for 7 days and had the time of our life's. Rick and Tara were amazing hosts they checked in on us a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed and left us alone to do our own thing. They also had great ideas to go check out the surrounding towns with awesome places to eat at. The place was big and spacious, there were four of us that stayed comfortably. We didn't have to worry about locking anything up when we left. We all felt safe and free of harm. The ocean was just a quick walk from the house which was completely breath taking. We were able to enjoy a cookout on the beach. It was nice to be able to go up on the roof top and lay in the hammock watching the stars while listening to the waves of the ocean hit in the back ground, our little piece of serenity. Several times we enjoyed walking into town and visiting all the little outside shops with handmade materials. It was great to adventure out and learn how other cultures live in the surrounding areas compared to ours. We will definitely look at coming back to visit again.
Traveling from Australia it was a relief to arrive at a place that felt like ours with a really chilled and mellow vibe. We stayed at Rick and Tara's accommodation for 4 weeks as a family and had an awesome time. The house had everything we needed and had a great Baja atmosphere of living on the beach in the great outdoors. Nothing was a bother for Rick and Tara and they were great hosts but left us alone to do our own thing. The house had 2 comfortable rooms with their own bathrooms, spacious open living area, kitchen and roof top where you could see the ocean. Its an ideal location especially for surfing in-between 2 surf breaks and a 15min drive to Todos Santos. Really quiet day and night which made it easy to relax and read whenever. Also felt really safe there, we never locked anything up and left the house open all the time. Definitely would recommend to those who like their own space and for something different from the usual hotel resort experience. Wish I didn't live so far away!!
The owners are sweet as can be and were very helpful and gave recommendations for restaurants and surf. The place itself is not a 5 star resort but a nice place to rest your head. Only downfall is even though it says air conditioning; it is broken and if you are there from June - September it might be hard to sleep at night. They gave us a fan but it was still pretty uncomfortable. Overall great location and nice hosts!
I'm almost conflicted about writing this review because i selfishly want to keep this place a secret but Tara, Ricky and Robert deserve it. This place was glorious. End of story. My wife and i just spent 9 days of pure relaxation here and i can't think of a single thing that wasn't awesome. The place was big, super clean and just simply made for easy, comfortable living. I can't imagine why anyone would pay the same amount or more to stay at a resort. Its right on the beach, a 5 minute drive from town. Pescadero is the perfect place in Baja, not busy but has everything you need, even a wicked coffee shop Baja Beans. They have a pool which was about 84 degrees every day. Tara, Ricky and Robert were the kindest of hosts, classic west coast hospitality and very laid back but very caring that we had everything we needed. It was perfect. Basically we just lived a cliche, hollywood version of what you would picture a vacation to be in Baja, Mexico.
Just finished a wonderful week of relaxation and surfing with my wife and another couple. I would definitely recommend this home. My friend and I came for the surf, which we definitely got. Both Pescadero and Cerritos were firing the entire time we were there. The home is conveniently located between the two. You can see San Peidrito point from the beach in front of the house, which is quite convenient. (take some binoculars). Mine and my buddy's wives came for the relaxation and shopping which they got out front on the beach, at the pool, and in the town of Todos Santos. We loved the open sitting area and kitchen - great place to relax. the pool was clean and nice. I don't think we ever shared it the whole time we were there. There is a great palapa out on the beach with chairs and a grill. We all enjoyed sitting out on the beach under the palapa in the mornings and evenings watching for whales ( which we saw most days). All in all, just a wonderful trip. The home does not have TV. or WiFi, but just up there road at baja beans is an internet cafe that is open for anyone to sit down and get online, which made it easy to communicate with our kids, work and family (when we chose to…). Rick and Tara were great to work with - made everything super easy. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get way in baja.
My girlfriend and I recently stayed for ten days and we were thrilled with the house and property! The home is in a fantastic, tranquil location, walking distance to some really good surf at San Pedrito beach and a short drive to Los Cerritos beach. The beach out front is practically deserted, we had it to ourselves almost the entire time!! Spent our afternoons lounging at the swimming pool (complete with bar stools!). We were a short (3-4 minute) drive to the town of Pescadero, where we enjoyed some amazing dining experiences (carnitas tacos, Carlitos' famous sushi, awesome thin-crust pizza). Todos Santos is about a ten-minute drive, which is worth the visit as well. Great restaurants, art galleries and shopping. A big thanks to our hosts, we'll definitely be back!
