What makes this house unique

Easy access, There are three bedrooms and three baths on the main level, with only a couple of steps just inside the entrance. Most everyone that walks in the door says one word- WOW! The views are amazing- you an see for miles and miles, and with the new deck railing installed- it's even better because the railing is virtually invisible. There's a massive wood burning fireplace in the great room, a stacked stone gas fire pit on the covered porch, and a custom rock wood burning fire pit and patio - great for romantic evenings for two, or a large group for storytelling and S'mores. The interior is lovely with nice bedding and bath linens for comfortable sleeping. The great room is all open with a vaulted ceiling- the bar is copper, the floors are wood, the ample seating, all helps to give you that 'big lodge' feel.

Like to hike? Hawk Heights Escape is close to Glen Falls and Chinquapin hiking trails- all without having to get on a main road, and there's lots more waterfalls and hiking trails to visit- all within a 10 mile radius.

Highlands is becoming quite the wedding destination, and whether you're a guest, part of the bridal party- or the Bride and Groom- Hawk's Height is a great place to be.

Beautiful view. Great outside spaces. Great gathering areas inside.

House was perfect for our group of 7 adults. We appreciated having private bathrooms for 3 of the 4 bedrooms. Plenty of kitchen equipment but it took some hunting to find some of it! House is the perfect distance from downtown Highlands. You felt like you were in a private space on the mountain but it only took 5 minutes to get into town. A couple of suggestions for the management company: (1) The trash situation over a holiday weekend needs to be more clearly communicated. We were there over Christmas and they didn't know what, if any, revised pick up schedule was in place. So we got conflicting information about whether we had to take the garbage to the collection site. (2) Reduce the welcome packet to one real estate sales magazine. Don't need 4! (3) The printed instruction sheet (front and back) is so poorly printed that it is almost impossible to read the back side. These are minor comments. Everyone loved the house and agreed that we would come back!

Very relaxing, comfortable home with great amenities!

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed a great week with friends and family. All bedrooms very comfortable. Porch and fire pit are wonderful. Loved that the kitchen island faces the beautiful view. House gets great breeze if open windows on both sides. For Texans, it was great to have fresh air and not air conditioning, especially in August! Landscape very pretty. Easy access to town.

House was nice but not well kept

  • 2 of 5

View was nice. Spacious great room good for a large family. However the Towels smelled and housecleaning was sub par. Home owner left many of her personal belongings in the house. I prefer it when these items are locked into a closet.

Incredible view and fabulous firepits!

  • 4 of 5

We had 9 people sleep here very comfortably. (3 couples and 3 singles--each couple had their own BR and the singles stayed in the room with the bunk beds and the queen bed.) They LOVED the view--the photos don't really capture how awesome it is. And even though it was raining and chilly most of the weekend, we had a fantastic time hanging out on the covered back porch around the new gas firepit there, roasting marshmallows and warming up. It's the perfect feature to have at that house. Everyone said the beds were super comfy. Plenty of towels, linens etc., decent bathrooms. Nice kitchen. When we hung out indoors, the copper-covered counter/island was perfect. Super fun house for large groups. The master suite is especially nice!
