Great location!

  • 4 of 5

It was a good experience. Location was nice, short walk from the Village. Bed was comfortable, loved the decor, quiet complex. Only problem we had was we came across several moths and spiders (understanding that we were in the mountain area) but luckily my husband was there to take care of that. The spa was not available to use. One window in living room not able to open, and another didn't have a screen so that remained closed. A few items I would suggest are a vacuum in unit, fan, and cleaning supplies. Everything else was there that we needed. Regardless, I would definitely stay again. We enjoyed the place. Thank you!

Not as advertised

  • 1 of 5

he property itself was very nice, clean, and in a good location. However, there are significant differences in the information provided by the management company, Grand Mammoth Resorts and the HomeAway listing. Based on our experience, the HomeAway listing was quite misleading:

1. HomeAway lists the check in/check out times as 4pm/11am but according the the property management company, Grand Mammoth Resorts, check in/check out times are 5pm/10am (6pm check in on holidays).

2. The HomeAway listing includes spa as an amenity. While there is a spa on on the property, it is currently under construction and is not available for use. Neither HomeAway nor Grand Mammoth Resorts notified us that the spa would not be accessible during our stay and the spa was one of the main reasons we booked this property for our trip. It is unacceptable to list (and charge for) and unavailable amenity.

3. When we arrived the dishwasher had not been unloaded. The dishes were clean but we had to put everything away ourselves, which is definitely NOT something we should have to do when we (and the previous guests) paid a cleaning fee. When we reported this to Grand Mammoth Resorts, they said the maid didn't have time to put the dishes away - really?! The guests before us checked out at 10AM and we didn't check in until 5PM. Does it really take 7 hours to run and unload a dishwasher?

4. The condo had a really nice wood burning fire place. However, all the wood supplied didn't actually burn. We had to go out and buy our own firewood.

5. Communication even leading up to the trip was terrible. My credit card was charged for the reservation immediately and I never received a confirmation or arrival instructions for the property. I had to call the management company and ask them to send me all that information days before the trip.

We reported all these issues to the Grand Mammoth Resorts staff when we checked out at their office but they refused to take responsibility for the miscommunication and blamed HomeAway. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience and will not be using HomeAway or another Grand Mammoth Resorts property in the future.

Good property, close to Village!

  • 4 of 5

My wife, sis-in-law, son and I stayed here Feb 2-5. We had a difficult time finding the condo because of all the snow but getting the keys and accessing the place was seamless. We found the condo to be nice, clean, but not very spacious (it is after all a 1 bedroom). Only 2 real complaints about the 3 night stay that we had was the parking and the lack of cleaning supplies (ie trash bags, spray cleaner).

Parking was fine during the day but soon got full in the night hours. One issue was that the condos adjacent to ours had been buried in snow so there was no access.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The place was nice and very close to the Village so that was a big plus.

Owner's Response: Hi there, I am happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! It's amazing how much snow we have this year! It definitely causes issues with trying to find many of the units here in town! Thank you for sharing your experience and we look forward to hosting you again!

Big and roomie

This place is one big bedroom. The living room is very spacious. Bedroom has a lot of room. There were three of us and had plenty of room.

Its right behind the spa, unfortunately the spa was under construction. Maybe next time!

Great experience, awesome place. The good, everything. Walking distance to the Gondola and village shops. We cooked almost all meals, great kitchen with all pots, pans and dishes needed. Very clean and comfortable. Will go back next winter.

Great condo. Much better then most hotel rooms.

  • 5 of 5

As I mentioned the condo it self was great and highly recommended. The check in and out times of 5pm and 10am are really strange and may limit my stay at this location again. However we where able to check in early for our arrival which was very nice!
