Cozy Keuka Cottage with Scenic Waterfront Views!!

Bedrooms 3
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay nights

About the property

Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Only June and September weeks remain available!!

Our cottage provides three bedrooms with twin beds sleeping a total of 6 people (we recommend 5 adults as a maximum.) .

A central family room includes a gas fireplace, couch and chairs for listening to the satellite radio, watching TV or admiring the beautiful lake views. Double-doors open onto the long screened porch with dining tables and chairs and additional lounging area. The bathroom is new with a nice shower and heat lamp and the kitchen is new (2013) with everything you'll need.

Our new dock (2016) has a table and benches that seat 8-10 people. From the dock there is a sturdy ladder for access to swimming or there are just 3 steps down to our level shale beach with chairs and a fire pit. There are two kayaks and a canoe, if you'd like to take a paddle.

A private driveway brings your vehicle down to a 2-car parking lot next to the cottage and unloading is easy with just four steps up to the cottage entrance.

About Bill and Chris Masterman

We have thoroughly enjoyed our cottage every year since we purchased it. Our friends, children and grandchildren often join us for relaxing summer days and we enjoy the spring time and fall seasons as well. Since we live in Fairport, NY, it's an easy trip to Hammondsport, where we can escape from our busy daily lives and the hectic world!

Bill and Chris Masterman purchased this cottage in 2000

Why Bill and Chris Masterman chose Hammondsport

The area has so much to offer, especially with Hammondsport Village just a one mile trip and offering several restaurants, pubs, antique shops, banks/ATM's, gas stations and a grocery store. There are six wineries within 30 minutes or less, three golf courses and the Windmill Farm and Craft Market are all nearby.

What makes this cottage unique

The view across the lake waters to the mountains behind is just spectacular. We spend most of our time on our screened porch or deck (when we're not swimming, fishing, boating or taking a day trip to wineries or other local attractions.)

Cute and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is so sweet. Clean an had everything thats needed for lake use. Waking up to the sounds of water rushing to shore was so relaxing. The evening sunsets filled the sky over the mountain. The view from the porch was breath taking. I hope to return there next year!

Perfect family summer vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of this cottage, close to Hammondsport for all our needs. The beautiful porch with large screened windows was perfect for relaxing, games and meals. The new kitchen was very clean and bright, as was the rest of the cottage. The dock and beach were great for the kids swimming and fishing. It's a perfect place for a family vacation week.

Awesome views - constantly changing

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here Oct 11th thru the 14th 2013. This lake cottage had everything I was looking for. Right on the water and unbelievable views. Awesome sunsets and star lit skies! Close enough to town, 10 minutes at the most and far enough away if you like it quiet. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. Although it sleeps 6 you have to remember there is only one bathroom, which was fine for me since I was alone. The only other point I want to mention is there is a very steep incline to get to this property. Don't let that stop you unless the weather is adverse, then it could be treacherous. Since I was there in the fall, I can't speak for the activity on the lake. This property is at the south end of the lake and had mostly sun after noon this time of year, something to think about if you prefer sun over shade.Which I do!

Relaxing time on the lake

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cottage on Keuka Lake was excellent, the owners welcomed us to their home and shared all aspects of the house. We had a wonderful, relaxing time in a very clean, centrally located home in the Finger Lakes. The evenings by the fire pit put a truly great end to each day of our stay. I recommend this home to everyone.

Beautiful Cottage- Beautiful spot on Keuka Lake!

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this cottage for a family to stay on Keuka Lake. The listing described the cottage quite well. My husband and I brought our three young children ages 7, 5 and 2 for a week's stay on the lake and we enjoyed every minute. We loved the rustic nature of this cottage with it's beautiful porch with large screened windows and the homey feel inside- very clean and well maintained. We were in the water every day during our stay whether it be swimming, canoeing or kayaking. The fishing was great as well! The dock is huge and we took full use of the large picnic table on the dock. The kids loved being able to wade into the water from the beach on the property. We were able to visit Watkins Glen State Park, Corning and we just loved the village of Hammondsport. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation by the water. We hope to return!
