About The Owner

Judi and I built this home in 1974 and then purchased the home back in 2009. We have done almost all of the work in building the home originally and in the remodel as well. We pride ourselves in providing all of the comforts of home away from home without being intrusive. We are always just a phone call away and are constantly looking for ways to improve your stay with us. Please leave us a review so we can better serve you on your next visit.

The Owner purchased this house in 1974

Why The Owner chose Lakes & Blackwater Rivers

This was our first home we built together and we felt the comfort should be shared with others. We felt it was appropriate to place the angel weather vane that was gifted to us on the roof and name the home Angels Roost. We hope you agree with this being a 1 acre piece of Heaven on earth after your stay with us.

What makes this house unique

The wonderful sunrises over the pastures with the rolling hills straight in front of the home makes the stay so peaceful while being only minutes from all activities. 15 miles from Augusta, 2 miles from downtown Aiken, 2 miles to Highfields Equestrian Center, minutes from over 30 restaurants, shopping and activities.

Home away from home

From booking to check in/checkout, everything was in order. The check in was supposedly at 4pm but we arrived early and asked the owner if we can check in after 2pm and he said yes! When we arrived, the yummy chocolate chip cookies were waiting for us, what a treat especially for the kids. The pool and hot tub were in excellent condition and the house was very clean. The kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room had sufficient stock of supplies. The kids rated the house a 10!!!! They enjoyed the pool and hot tub the most. It was an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Will definitely come back again and highly recommend to friends.

Mr. Tindall

The house and the Yard is very well kept, nicely furnished, spacious and clean. Nice amenities with the pool and the hot tub. The host was easy to contact and was very accommodating. Thanks for the cookies. I would stay again if available on my next trip to Aiken.

Great place to relax and have fun with the family!

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for having a good place with love touch on everything. The owner give me great attitude when I call him to report a little issue and he show up and fixed before any body else figure out. He took less than half hour to show up, that was on Sunday morning.

For me he is very professional!

I'm suggesting this place for your family.

This is a quaint country home with plenty of room for our group of 8. The kids loved the pool!

Lovely home. Easily accessible for my mother who has trouble getting around. Kids loved the pool and used it daily. We were able to host a surprise party for our mother's 70th birthday. Lots of restaurants close by - chains and mom-and-pops. The hosts are easy to reach and easy to work with.

House was very nice!

  • 5 of 5

We, nine of us, thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. The house has an open floor plan, four bedrooms and three baths. We were there for a bowling tournament and the hot tub and jacuzzi were just what we needed after two long days on the lanes!

Spacious and Nicely decorated home! Very clean. Impressive VHS collection. Needs updating to CD's.

Clean home. Has most all gadgets you need in kitchen but if you want to bake, Bring your own bakeware. Hot tub was promised to be working upon arrival. It is an old hot tub and it had terrible leaks. Unable to use . Minimal channels on Cable TV. If you like football you will have to go to a bar to watch it on ESPN no sports channels. Fireplaces were not hooked up to gas but they did come a day later and started them. Pool area was awesome but we came in the winter so it was closed. Refrigerator was great size but the icemaker didn't work. Beds were very comfortable! Bedrooms and den were spacious. Convenient location to downtown Aiken. Overall a very nice house but disappointed in some promised amenities not available. No discounts offered for inconvenience of hot tub not working.

Owner's Response: It is unfortunate the hot tub broke again after our repairs. It has been replaced with a brand new one which does not make this guest any better but has made an unfortunate problem go away for future guest. This guest brought to our attention the bake ware has unfortunately been burned or thrown away or taken home with someone previously, It will be remedied immediately. The VHS tapes in question have been a collection of ours for many years and each one has some type of memory to our family members and they have asked we leave them there. The gas logs in the fireplaces were turned off for safety and the temperature was not cool enough for us to leave them on. A simple phone call to me remedied that issue. The guest or their family inadvertently pressed the buttons on the freezer door which child locks the door so no ice or water will come out until it is unlocked. Unfortunately we were unaware of the issue until the time of the review. We always try to keep this home as well stocked as we keep our personal home but as we all know, stuff happens. Thank you for your visit. Hopefully you will return someday when the pool and hot tub are both running in warmer weather.
