Overview

About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

If you're looking for a quiet, charming getaway in the amazing neighborhood of Hollywood Hills, then look no more. After sightseeing in Hollywood, or Los Angeles, come back to your little oasis...take the curved brick stairway to you private home away from home. You can take advantage of your full kitchen, which has everything you will need to make amazing meals, or try one of of the hundreds of gourmet restaurants within a short drive. Your guesthouse is surrounded by trees, greenery, and flowers. This cozy 450 square foot property is laid out like a one bedroom. The separate bedroom area has a super comfy queen bed and full bath.

We are located just down the street from Warner Bros., Disney Studios, and Universal Studios. The guesthouse shares the property with a great old 1930's Mediterranean home. Although it is technically a semi-attached guesthouse it is extremely private because there are no shared walls and it is built on another level. Come and put your feet up and enjoy the trees, and the peace and quiet. Feel free to email me with any further questions. I'd be delighted to have you as my guest!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for sharing your home as our "home away from home" this week. What a lovely quiet spot in the middle of this huge, busy, and somewhat crazy city! We have truly appreciated your availability for questions, and your helpful hints as far as eating.

Peaceful Abode

  • 5 of 5

We spent a lovely week in this cozy abode, and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. It is very quiet with no traffic noise at all yet close enough to walk to Universal Studios (30 minutes) and on another day, all the way up the trail to the Hollywood sign (90 minutes). We enjoyed sitting at the little table by the window for a cup of tea or outside on the bench to read a book. Very peaceful. Our host was very kind and responded quickly to all our needs. Thanks Kathleen, we have already recommended you place to our friends.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the Hollywood Hills Hidden Gem. It was the perfect location to go to Universal Studios. It was a quick $6 Uber ride. We also journeyed out to Santa Monica and to the LACMA with our car. It was a very hot weekend so having AC in the rental was awesome! The bed was comfortable and although we didn't use the kitchen, it was nice to have the fridge. We will definitely recommend this rental to others. Thank you, Kathleen!

Property was tucked away in a very nice quiet neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

It was quite peaceful and serene. Super close to universal studios and the city walk. Uber cost about five dollars one-way and was really convenient. You are 1 mile away from a park that can lead you to the hike up to the Hollywood sign as well as being close to Molholland Drive. Space was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked really well. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome stay.

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time using VRBO and I was very pleased. The hidden gem is exactly what it says...a hidden gem. It's was extremely charming, clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. Even though it was super close to all our activities it still felt like I was off the grid. Thank you for our stay. Would definitely use again.

Charming, private refuge close to many Hollywood attractions

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this Hollywood Hills Hidden Gem was quiet and relaxing. The views are beautiful! We enjoyed many strolls around the neighborhood. The accommodations were adequate; plenty of linens, an iron, kitchenware and WiFi. The owner was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. I recommend using delivery apps for groceries or takeout like GrubHub or Amazon. This was our first experience with a hotel alternative. I highly recommend this place for those who desire a spot close to the Hollywood excitement yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Living Large in the Hollywood Hills

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a place for 2 people to stay for 3 nights near some friends who were staying close to Universal and Warner Brothers Studios. This property was close to my friends and to both studios. Kathleen was very helpful answering all my questions before I even arrived.

The property is in a nice neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills. The roads are narrow and hilly, but there was always ample street parking in front of the property. On arrival the first day, check in was a breeze. The key was waiting for us, so we could get in right away to store our luggage and freshen up. It was a hot day and we were glad that the AC was running and the place was cool and comfortable. There was no toilet paper when we arrived, so I contacted Kathleen and she provided some immediately, apologizing profusely. Everything else was perfect.

It's a nice 1BR with a full kitchen. There's a table next to a huge window looking out over the valley. We had breakfast here each morning. The bed is fairly comfortable. There's not much shelf space in the bathroom, but there's a low ledge that works just as well.

The property is also very close to the Lake Hollywood Reservoir. One morning we drove about 6 minutes to the lake and walked the 3.5 mile trail around it. There are some great views of the Hollywood sign from the train and of Los Angeles from the Mulholland Dam.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at the Hollywood Hills Hidden Gem. If you're looking to stay anywhere near the Hollywood Hills, you should definitely check out this place!
