About the property

Skiin/Ski out condo at Pico Ski Area and 5 min to Killington

This ground floor unit has a cozy wood burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 3 bedrooms, 2 updated baths, 4 flatscreen TV's and wireless internet. Parking just outside the front door and trail access at the edge of the parking lot. Bed set up as follows: 1 queen, 2 singles, and 2 sets of bunkbeds.

We use this condo personally and try to make as cozy as possible. The new kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, dishes and utensils (although the local restaurants are excellent). Unit has a back door to send the kids out and play so the adults can relax with a glass of wine in front of the wood burning fireplace.

As long as mother nature lays down enough of the white stuff you can ski down to the base area and ski back to the condo. All trails lead to central base area and a rustic lodge with good food and a huge stone fireplace.

Please note: The mountain is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the ski season except during holidays weeks. These days you would have to drive to Killington (5 mins) to ski/board or hop on the free shuttle 'The Bus' from the Pico Base.

Pico Sports Center is also located just a short walk down the hill and has an olympic sized pool, weight room, spin room, yoga and more. Please contact Pico Sports Center (802) 747-0564 for more info and pricing.

About The Owner

Life-long lovers of the snow, we loved the family vibe of Pico and the surrounding area. Rest assured, our condo is set up to accommodate your family just as comfortably as ours.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2005

Why The Owner chose Vermont

Pico Mountain is steeped in history as it is one of the earliest ski areas in America and the mountain has retained much of it's old charm. All the trails meet at the central base area so the mountain is great for families. However there is plenty of aggressive terrain for the more advanced skiers and riders. The terrain is more natural and the glades are awesome. Great family mountain with reasonable ticket prices and classic Vermont lodge. Right across the street from the condo is The Long Trail Inn with a great Irish Pub. This is a stop on the Appalachian trail and has a tremendous history in itself. Killington Ski Area is just 5 miles away and there is a free shuttle. The Killington access road has variety of restaurants from pizza to sushi to fine dining. The town of Rutland is 8 miles in the other direction and has rock climbing, ice skating, bowling and plenty of shopping.

What makes this condo unique

Having traveled to many ski areas, it is our hope we created a place your family will love and you will have all the comforts of home.

Beautful place for a wonderfull ski-filled weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The resort was beautiful with ample space, amenity features and conveniently close to the Killington ski slopes! It was a great fit for 8 people. Heat lamps in the bathroom were wonderful and fireplace/tv/ living room setup was a nice place to end the night. I would happily rent this again for our next ski excursion and would highly recommend it.

Feels like a home....not a rental unit.

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. We've rented other units at Pico Slopeside but none have been this nice. The owner was very helpful and patient when we asked him a couple silly questions (the answers were available in a check in letter that we neglected to read throughly....oops). The location of the unit was secluded and peaceful. Had there been more snow, we could have skied down to the chair lifts. Unfortunately, Pico had just experienced some warm weather so the snow around the condos was sparse. We choose to drive to the base lodge which took 2 minutes. Our family would definitely come back!

Excellent Location & Layout

  • 5 of 5

This Condo was perfect for our Family

Very Clean & Location was right where we wanted to be!

Pico & Killington Ski resorts super accessible, and restaurants close by.

I would absolutely stay here again and recommend any family looking for Pico access and nice layout for space, this place is for you.

Manager was easily accessible, and all items needed where there.

Clean, modern, cozy, and perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

I have been skiing at Pico my entire life, and we have usually stayed at the same house every year. This year I found out our normal rental wasn't available, and I took a chance and rented this condo. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately impressed! It's much larger than the pictures show, and was very clean and comfortable. It's also completely renovated and mixes modern touches with comfort. We loved it! All the linens were provided, and so was a large stash of firewood for cozy fires at night. Also, the location couldn't be better! We wound up driving over to Killington a couple days (since Pico was closed) and that wasn't an issue at all. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning next year! Thanks, Drew!
