We loved our time in Estes Park. The cabin was perfect. We found everything to be in order and what we expected. Thanks for a great vacation!

A Vacation to Remember!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our five night stay at Running River Condo. It was very relaxing and being right on the river made it very peaceful. The condo met all our needs perfectly. This property is in a great location, near town and near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We all enjoyed our stay so much no one wanted to leave. The elk in the yard at our condo made a wonderful ending to an ideal vacation. I would definitely stay at Running River Condo again and I will be recommending it to our friends. Looking forward to going back some day.

Great location, close to Estes Park, right along the whitewater. Cabin was adequate.

  • 4 of 5

Nice experience in a great location right next to a whitewater creek. Very close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. However, the cabin needs some updates. The beds are old and uncomfortable. Sheets and pillows should be replaced. Carpet was dirty. Just needs some minor updates but otherwise it is wonderful.

Excellent!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed three nights at Running River Condo and could not have been more impressed. Clean and homey condo with a GREAT view of the river right off the deck. This is an excellent place to get away from stress and relax surrounded by nature! We even saw elk and deer pass by us on the road behind the condo. Who knew?!?! Thanks for a great weekend! Hope to return again some day soon!

Fantastic Location! Poor Quality.

  • 2 of 5

Can never fault any place for it's location on Fall River. That being said, this condo experience was very disappointing. First off, it is a duplex (with thin walls I might add), which the site failed to make clear. The yard hadn't been managed in what looked like a year, there were cobwebs everywhere (inside) above eye level, the towels and spare sheets/blankets did were not fresh.

The worst part was that we just felt like we were being milked for money instead of feeling like a welcome guest on vacation. The kitchen had dishes, but that was it. Not even basics like salt and pepper, much less paper towels or aluminium foil. On our arrival there were a total of two and a half rolls of toilet paper split between the two bathrooms. We had booked our party of 4 for 5 nights. On calling to say that was not enough to last the duration, we were told to go buy our own. As with the propane in the gas grill - it is specified that if you run out, you are responsible for refilling the tank. Every other place we have stayed in Estes had all of these things provided plus more, at least with enough to last the entire stay that was booked!

Then there is the non-refundable cleaning fee (plus another refundable fee) - something else not included in the cost. First time I've seen that one as well. Along with detailed instructions on everything we had to clean and do ourselves before checking out - with each item followed by another fun fee if it was not done correctly. Nothing on the list was unreasonable, but it just came across as extremely rude to instruct us how to clean up before we left only to charge us to have someone else come in and clean up - and that apparently not very well.

Again, the location is great. The water pressure was good, and wifi signal was available. The people we dealt with in renting this place were all very polite. But on the whole it was just FAR too expensive for what you get, or in this case, don't get.

Owner's Response: Running River is the top renting property of 52 properties that we manage. It has many many great reviews. This home is a vacation rental. We do not operate it the same as a hotel. We personally went to running river to check it out after the renters left. After housekeeping, we found the property to be in great condition, very attractive and extremely clean. We are sorry that these renters felt that it did not meet their expectations and that they rented the wrong place for their specific needs..
