Beautifully updated, this spacious retreat in The Summit is walking distance from Eagle Lodge and across the street from Sierra Star Golf Course. Three full, completely remodeled bathrooms (two downstairs, one up) feature porcelain tubs with travertine/slate enclosures, granite counters and maple cabinetry. The main bath has a double-sink vanity and, for your convenience, a combination washer/ventless dryer.

Living areas feature gorgeous slate flooring, plush carpet and bamboo planked walls. Grab your favorite beverage and settle in around the wood-burning fireplace, while the kids snuggle into one of the oversized beanbag chairs, or lounge lazily on the L-shaped leather sofa. Enjoy the crackling of the fire and the wind whistling through the pines, while everyone watches their favorite DVD on the flatscreen TV.

Each sleeping area contains a flatscreen TV and an iPod alarm clock/charger, although no one ever seems to set the alarm! Put the kids in the bunk room while you retire to either the 'Master' suite upstairs with a California King bed, or the open loft area with a comfortable Queen bed. Whichever you choose, you will be rewarded with high-quality linens and down comforters on every bed for a great night's sleep.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, and a full complement of cooking utensils, including almost every small appliance imaginable (blender, waffle maker, cappuccino maker, toaster oven). Open design affords continuity to the dining area featuring a large mahogany table that can seat ten.

When you're finally ready to pull yourself away, Eagle Lodge is down the street from The Summit complex, with Chair 15 ready to take you up to the powder, or Sierra Star Golf Course across the street.

Don't worry about having to dig your car out from the storm you've been praying for, since you parked it in the underground garage where it will be waiting for you when you must finally leave your mountain getaway.

We are year-round Mammoth lovers who are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to own a vacation home in what we feel to be one of the best complexes in town. Summit's location is ideal (not overly congested like the Canyon Lodge area), and it's amenities are numerous. We have owned in Mammoth previously, but we feel we 'hit the jackpot' with this unit. We use it as our base for snow sports, biking, fishing and just plain relaxing.

Eagle Lodge is the closest of the three lodges to downtown Mammoth Lakes, yet the density of surrounding accommodations is much less than that at Canyon Lodge. Our unit faces beautiful single family 'mountain' homes on a quiet street away from the main access road with the Sierras looming in the background. The combination of close proximity to the lifts, underground parking and complex amenities (tennis, pools, sauna, jacuzzi, weight room) is unmatched by most other properties in Mammoth.

Awesome place!

The place is very well maintained and has everything one needs. All imaginable kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery were there. Even washing machine detergent was provided. There was plenty of room for 2 families, and it was great to have 3 bathrooms.

The only shortcoming for us was that the loft bedroom is open plan. We did not realise that before we came. However it is clearly written in the description and it's entirely our fault that we did not read it properly.

Great Summer Vacation!

We had a great summer vacation up in Mammoth. We caught a lot of fish and the weather was great. I did not rate the condo a five star do to a few things. If you have anyone in your party with mobility issues, like someone in our party, you will find all the stairs as a challenge! Although they have a combo washer and dryer it does not work that well. The pools were cold and the spa wasn't hot enough until the last day of our trip. I guess the property engineer was off and so were the heaters! We had to use our coolers to keep drinks cold as the fridge would not cool down enough even though it was turned all the way down. The upstairs master bedroom was extremely hot at night which made it difficult to sleep. A fan would have really helped. if they address a few things, this rental would easily have been a five star property... Oh yes they had NO wine glasses...

OK off the negative and on to the positive... The house was well worth the price they offered me! It was clean and well updated. The location was great for getting around and nice paths to walk. The building we were in was very peaceful and very few tenants were in.

All in all it was a good week and we were sorry to see it end!

If you go up in winter this unit would be perfect due to its proximity to the ski lifts....

Owner's Response: Thank you for your thoughtful review of our home! I am sorry that it wasn't more clear that the unit is on the second floor and there are no elevators. I will be sure to add this to the property description. While there is a ceiling fan in the loft, I understand more air circulation may have been needed. I have ordered fans for all the bedrooms. I am sorry the pool areas were in need of maintenance - this is the first I have ever heard of any issues. Note, there are three pool/spa areas to use, perhaps one or more of the others would have been working well. Wine glasses have a nasty habit of breaking, disappearing or otherwise going missing! I have replaced them already. The refrigerator was inspected after your stay by our repairman, and found to be in perfect working order. I am not sure what the problem was. I stayed in the unit myself with some friends just after your stay, and the fridge was fine. Thank you again for staying with us, and we look forward to your next visit! David

Awesome, modern, convenient.

This condo was fantastic for my family of 4. This should be advertised as a 3 bedroom but the loft bedroom doesn't have a closet. My wife usually has a hard time sleeping in hotel and VRBO beds but the beds here were comfy and she had a good sleep. It's a 2nd floor, corner unit, so it has high ceilings and a view of the mountains while watching TV and 2 balconies overlooking the jaccuzi.

Plenty of room, modern baths and kitchen with granite countertops and everything you need if you want to cook. When eating out, it's 3 minutes to the Village or many restaurants on Old Mammoth Road. 2 minutes to Vons.

Kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and cooking gear you would expect as well as the little stuff like corkscrews, etc. I usually forget to bring and it saves you a trip to the store. High quality toaster oven, blender, coffee maker. The soaps, towels and amenities are hotel-like. Laundry detergent, dishwasher liquid and Cascade are provided. It's turnkey.

It is stocked with board games and a poker chip set - in the chest of drawers under the stairs. My boys learned how to play poker here! There are 4 TV's and a few DVD players. The main TV is a smart TV, so we could watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. at night. The other 3 may also be smart tv's but we didn't watch them so can't comment on those.

Overall, a winner! We had a great vacation! I will definitely stay here again next time!

Great Place, great location, great mountain.

Place was really nice. Clean, very well equipped, nicely furnished, great location. The hot tub and sauna are just a few feet away and offered welcom relief after a very short walk from the bottom Eagle Lodge base. Closer to the lifts than you could park on a busy weekend.

Home away from Home

My husband and I along with our daughter spent 3 night in this beautiful place. The location is within a 5 minute walking distance to Eagle Lodge ski lift and 5 minute drive to the main store. Having the car in underground parking made it easy to get in and out. The home has plenty of room and two families with kids can stay comfortably. The kitchen is modern and has everything to cook a home made meal. Loved having a washer/dryer, plenty of bathrooms, washer/dryer, comfy bed and a fireplace. We loved it and can't wait to get back.

Wonderful Condo that accommodated 2 families for a great vacation!

We had such a wonderful time staying at this home. There was plenty of room for 2 families (6 kids in all) to hang out, eat, play games, watch movies. The condo is beautifully done, clean, and up to date. The pools and spas in the complex were a hit for the kids (and adults too). Loved the quiet location as well. David was incredibly accommodating to us especially when we had to change our dates (just a month before our scheduled arrival date) of our visit to a few days earlier. He made the change for us right away. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we look forward to coming back!
