Perfect location and size! Best rental ever!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time visiting NOLA and I was very cautious about what and where I rented. With a little help from my friend with prior experience with the city I found this gem which was perfect for my 6 friends and I.

Ed, was very helpful and thorough with the location. His office was up the road so you never felt like you were just using a "rental" we actually felt like it was more of an "offsite hotel suite".

The apartment had ample room for the 7 of us and all the ameninties were well appointed. I can tell the management was experienced in the world of hospitality and felt comfortable asking for anything we needed.

The neighborhood is quaint, quiet and close to EVERYTHING. Within a 10 min. walk we were in the French Quarter and another 5 minutes we were having beignets at Cafe Du Monde!

Overall I would definitely use this location again. And would consider Ed for finding a smaller place if I have a smaller group. Ed was also cool enough to print out our boarding passes on our return flight (damn you Spirit Airlines!!!).

Spacious upstairs apartment

  • 5 of 5

This upstairs apartment was clean, safe and spacious. It fit 7 of us nicely and had all of the amenities that we wanted such as an iron and ironing board, plenty of linens and towels, soap, coffee maker and dishwasher. The heat and air worked well as we used the both during our stay. Ed, the owner, was pleasant and easily accessible a half a block away when needed. This property was reasonably priced and close enough to walk the 5 -7 blocks to many areas of the French Quarter. It was a $9 cab ride back to the apartment from Bourbon Street as we did not want to walk the 11 Blocks back to the apartment late at night. Would definitely recommend.

Cute Place and Convenient

  • 4 of 5

A group of 7 of us stayed here for the weekend and upon arrival, it was great! Super cute place and an added bonus was that in the pictures it shows room 3 with a Queen size and a Twin but there were TWO Queen size beds there! Such a nice surprise for the girl that was going to get the Twin! It's a cute, eccentric looking place that had a nice feel to it. Our only complaint is that one of the a/c units clearly doesn't work and needs to be fixed. When we arrived, the front thermostat was set to 74 but it said 79 so I thought, okay he just turned them on before our arrival and it should cool down by the time we get in tonight. Not the case. I called Ed on our 2nd day and he said he'd have someone look at it and gave us the key to the 2nd apartment (which is next to the one where we stayed) in case they weren't able to fix it. When we got in Saturday night it was nice and cool but by the time the morning came, the temperature was rising again. It's clear they just added freon or some other quick fix. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know about this issue until we stayed but if you decide to book this apartment, ask if the a/c unit has been fixed or you will be disappointed, hot and sweaty.

Group New Orleans Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Amazing place to rent with all the amenities (wifi, towels, hair dryer, dishware, etc.). Traveled with six people there was plenty of space for three couples. Rooms had plenty of storage. Overall house was very clean upon arrival (full laundry room in back) House is in walking distance of EVERYTHING (Frenchman Street, French Quarter) and places like Magazine Street or uptown Garden District was a short 10-minute cab ride away or you can take street car. Great restaurants, cafes, and two grocery stores within walking distance. Totally understand why people want to stay outside of French Quarter (too much noise) and this is the perfect spot. Manager was super friendly to work with and made arrival/departure super easy. There were locks/keys for both the front door AND gate to get to the front door which was amazing. Would stay here again!

Perfect for Any Girls Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is an AWESOME place to rent. It provides all the amenities of a hotel, but gives you the comfort of your own home. 7 of us stayed here doing Essence Music Festival 2012 and it was amazing. We were in walking distance to the streetcar and bus stops as well as we were in walking distance to the French Quarters. One of the things that made it VERY easy and comfortable was it stormed during our stay, but we didn't have to worry about trying to get out and find dinner. Thanks to the FULL kitchen and all of its luxuries we were able to stay in, cook and enjoy ourselves. Also, it close enough to the Quarters to enjoy, but far enough to enjoy a good night's sleep. All in all, this was property was well worth the cost.

Group New Orleans Getaway

  • 5 of 5

There were 7 of us who stayed at this apartment and we loved every minute of it! The apartment is much larger than we expected from looking at the pictures. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The laundry back bathroom was an added bonus! The location was perfect and we walked everywhere (very safe neighborhood). Neighborhood highlights included the Cake Cafe, the Friendly Bar, and Frenchman Street. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone!

This is not a criticism of the property, but rather a tip for anyone visiting New Orleans - make sure you park at least 20' from any corner. You WILL be ticketed at $40/violation! We learned this the hard way - $80 later!
