Gorgeous Victorian on beautiful property - wonderful new 4 season room!!!

Bedrooms 5
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

This gorgeous Victorian Estate is a rare find in the oldest sea resort in the country... It was owned by one family for 140 years and is only now being shared! Has been a HUGE hit in its few years of being rented.

Located at 122 Eldredge Avenue, it has been fully restored with gorgeous decor, a brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 3 brand new bathrooms... as well as the addition of a huge four season room that overlooks the lush gardens.

Even with all the new enhancements, we have been careful to keep the original charm of hardwood floors and many of the historic details.

There are lots of spaces to hang and create memories, starting with 2 living rooms (separated by pocket doors), a 42' flat screen tv and game table, the cozy new porch... as well as more flat screen tvs in upstairs bedrooms.

The outside is just as dynamic... situated on an unusually large property with extensive gardens and water features, such as a waterfall/stream and lilypond (fenced for protection of little kids). There are plenty of quiet spaces to sit, read and meditate in nature...

Or you can barbeque on the gas grill, surrounded by tons of flowers. Another great place to hang after a day at the beach is the front porch, complete with rockers, couch and ceiling fans.

This home is conveniently located just steps from great healthy restaurants, a deli, gourmet cheese shop, gym and yoga studio. Also just a short stroll from the ocean, pedestrian malls, restaurants, vineyards and more... There is something for everyone.

It typically fills up fast...

Special rates are available in off-peak season.

SPECIAL NOTE: For anyone who enjoys this home, but finds that the week you want is taken... I have a wonderful suggestion. A house just around the corner, which is one of the most famous historic homes in Cape May is called the Eldredge House. Please contact Todd Land to rent this amazing house (which has four bathrooms, most of which are attached privately to bedrooms - very rare). It is

air conditioning in each room, cable televisions, wireless internet, brand new equipped kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, new four-season room, washer & dryer, as well as a large outdoor shower with awesome views! (also central heat for off-season rentals)

Ideal for families, 10 people are easily accommodated.

2nd Floor -

Master bedroom (King bed)

2nd Bedroom (Queen bed)

3rd Bedroom (Queen bed)

3rd Floor -

Two bedrooms with 2 twin beds each. (4 total)

Full bathrooms on both the first and second floors.

BONUS - rental includes TEN season beach tags and a private Beach Box with 10 chairs and umbrella, so you can leave your beach things right at the beach!

The house is walking distance to Cape May's best beaches, located just next to two great restaurants (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner), gourmet cheese shop, yoga studio, gym and country store deli.

Why The Owner chose Historic District

I am someone who fell in love with Cape May 7 years ago... and chose a location for the house that is perfect for being at the beach and the fun, that also provides quiet and privacy a few blocks from the busy hubbub... the best of both worlds. It is my privilege to share this gorgeous home with you for the first time.

The house had rave reviews in its first two years!

What makes this house unique

Two things make this house stand out, even in Cape May. The house was ever owned by one family and is in awesome condition, decorated elegantly for those who want to give themselves the best experience possible. Second, the property is rare for the beach... not only is it very large, but comes complete with mature trees and beautiful places to sit and enjoy nature.

Perfect for nature lovers!

Roomy Victorian House Convenient to Downtown and Beach

  • 5 of 5

Four girlfriends and I rented this house for a long weekend in Cape May in November. We found the house to be very comfortable, with plenty of room for the five us. There were three full bathrooms, one with a bathtub, so there was never any waiting for a shower. We particularly appreciated the 2 gas fireplaces that kept us warm and cozy. The location is great, with a short walk to both the downtown mall area, lots of restaurants, and the beach. Ron, the landlord, and Todd were very responsive to our requests. When the lights went out on the block at 11 pm one night, Todd texted us, offering to come over with flashlights. We couldn't have had better service. I highly recommend this property for a vacation in Cape May.

Great place, great location

  • 5 of 5

Great place and we loved the location. The screened porch was the best place to congregate after a day at the beach, sightseeing or shopping. Very accommodating owner. Highly recommend this lovely property.

The Perfect Cape May Stay

  • 5 of 5

This house is incredible! Everything about our stay was perfect; the house, the location, the responsiveness of the owner Ron, and those gardens! Look no further than this property.

I've already booked the house for a second time, and my family cannot wait to return for next year's vacation. It is truly a wonderful destination.

Cedar Cottage - Charming and Classic Cape May Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Cedar Cottage was both convenient and accommodating for our family of eight. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and felt very comfortable! We loved the character and charm of the interior and especially loved the fire place on the side porch. Todd, the property manager, met us upon our arrival and was very helpful and nice!

Beautiful old charm Victorian house

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best trips we've had as a family and we even extended our stay an extra night! The house has the cutestest wrap around deck, which would be awesome in the summer. But we were here over the holidays and it was crisp outside. The house inside was INCREDIBLE. The bedrooms were lovely and the downstairs was so cozy, especially the sunroom. We LOVED looking outside at the trees while sipping hot chocolate and playing board games. The owners also took it upon themselves to decorate the house with Christmas decorations, which made the kids excited! Needless to say, we will definitely be back next year! Thank you so much!
