About the property

Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay at this cute little studio tucked away in a serene, private area behind the main house located in the historic area of Old Bisbee. Easy access through a well-lit passage way. Locked door ensures privacy & safety. It’s bright, light & comfortable with excellent use of limited space.

The quaint studio opens to a large secluded patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee, your afternoon tea, or your evening meal.

There is a built in bench with cushions provided so that you can lounge around under the shade of the sprawling Pyrocanthus for hours on end. Relax and revel at the serenity of this sheltered spot. The birds chirp all around you & you feel the comfort of the quiet, isolated environment.

Want a 'romantic' weekend for the two of you? Perfect place to relax and retreat. No one will even know that you're there!

The Little Red Studio is an easy 10 minute walk to the heart of the historic mining town of Bisbee, AZ with it's wide variety of shops, galleries, dining and other activities.

The studio includes all of the amenities you require to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

Our recent remodel boasts a bathroom that has 6ft bathtub as well as a shower option.

The entire floor has also been replaced.

We were thrilled to be able to make the studio available to people who were stranded and without a place to stay when Arizona was plagued by fires. Guests were delighted that there was EVERYTHING they needed in this small yet practical space.

When you need more room see VRBO #312565 for the other unit on the same property.

About Pamela

I live in San Diego but visit Bisbee on a regular basis when I volunteer at the Holistic Clinic that is held monthly at the Presbyterian Church Annex on Howell St. I also volunteer at the Women's shelter in Bisbee.

I conduct personal classes, seminars and retreats in Bisbee. I focus a lot educating groups about alternative approaches to medicine like acupuncture, homeopathy and nutrition as well as mini stress management workshops. Let me know if you have an interested group and we can tailor a workshop around your needs.

Pamela purchased this studio in 2007

Why Pamela chose Bisbee

I love the location of my house. It is just a 12 minute walk from the heart of the town. The studio is very private, very comfortable and has all the amenities I need.

What makes this studio unique

Bisbee’s unique. With an elevation of approximately 5300', this quaint little town has one of the best year-round climates. You can enjoy world-class' 'birding', San Pedro's Riperian in only 20 minutes away, then there's 'wilderness hiking' and exploring local tourist attractions.

Within an hour's drive of the Little Red House, you may visit the Cranes' roost, 'Karchner Caverns' and Wild West 'Tombstone', which is a turn of the century mining town. They have daily 'shoot-outs at 2.00 pm.

You can also visit Aqua Prieta, Mexico or the vineyards in Sonoita, Elgin and the Chiricahua National Monument.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you very much for providing us what like our own little home for the weekend. Will definitely be coming back.

Owner's Response: Hi Anna, I'm happy that we were able to accommodate you so that you could check in earlier than the usual 3.00 pm. Our listing on VRBO does state that there is one queen bed in the studio and 2 floor futons. I find the TV mounted on the wall that can be moved so that it can be watched from the bed or anywhere else in the studio, quite adequate. Thanks Pamela

Somewhat reasonable accommodations

  • 3 of 5

We had stayed here once before a few years ago. My kids think it's cute and I wouldnt disagree entirely. Its reasonable enough, though I think it would also be reasonable to purchase some new not-heavily-stained sheets for the bed, given that it is where the guests will be spending a third of their day or so. Overall, I would give it an OK based on oversights such as that. Just my opinion.

Perfectly delightful studio-The experience was amazing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were in the area to determine details of an upcoming move. We stayed at the studio for 10 days. It was so refreshing to be able to cook several meals and enjoy breakfast before heading out for the day. The patio is sunny and private. My husband who awakens before me would make his coffee and go out on the patio to study his Spanish lessons. Bisbee is charming-We loved The Table restaurant!!!!!!!!!! Pamela was MOST helpful and very sweet; as was Christie when I had a question. Fabulous experience all around. :-)

Very nice studio set up behind front house in a quiet small package, centrally located to Old Bisbee

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 8 nights as part of a work & play visit to the wonderfully enchanting BZB area. Almost everything we needed was creatively packed into this compact living studio rental. Bed, night stands, lamps, cafe dining table, book shelf and TV plus a nicely stocked - other than a few needed pot lids - kitchen made it complete. Loved the drop down metal wall desk to place our lap top which came in handy. Cheery interior colors and decorative ornamentation.Thoughtfully provided extras like bathing needs, iron & board and even some basic food stuffs in the cupboards were appreciated. Enjoyed the patio space and playfully decorated yard decor critters - we even made a contribution to the entourage of anthropomorphic bunnies, kitties, yoga posing frogs, wizards and Precious Moment denizens all nestled in a surreal layer of snowy spring Cottonwood tree fluff.

Greater attention to minor but important details like missing wash clothes, light bulbs burned out, cobwebs, an inoperable kitchen utensil, would have earned this place a 5 star for the price range this place offered. The in town property manager was prompt in getting these items replaced. A reminder to and perhaps most importantly a sign out front asking the other VRBO rental occupants to not park in our assigned units space - regardless of us being away - would be appreciated. We'd definitely return to this place and would recommend this to our friends.

It was nice and a pleasentry stay.very beautiful little house.

  • 3 of 5

It was very nice to stay a the little red house very beautiful and very welcome and well equipped.

My friends and I had a great time.the only bad thing about it was the wifi I thought they will provided free cause really the phone service signal is too poor and I was having a lot of problems trying to comunícate with friends and social media and when I ask for it they said I had to pay for it on the agreement which I never read about yeah it would be nice to provide it for free ,I mean the rent isn't that cheap I thought I was paying for it already.

Otherwise the house is very colorful and welcoming to the visitors I loved it very clean as well !!!

Owner's Response: Hi Alicia, Thanks for your kind words. Glad to hear that you had a good time and found our home fun and clean. Our nightly rate for a fully equipped home with a recently upgraded full bathroom and new flooring throughout, as well as 'hard to come by', off-street parking is actually very reasonable for what we provide. Internet access is expensive in Bisbee. Our guests pay a small fee that helps us to defray the costs. I know that I pay much higher fees for Internet access at hotels and places I stay at... and also, we do tell you there's a charge. You are given the option instead of raising the daily rates for everyone - hope you understand. Pamela.
